I would have given five stars for my delicious soups salad lunch, but there was two small omissions that tried to spoil an otherwise outstanding meal. I almost finished my soup and salad before I could flag down someone that was not my food server. I do not like that phrase, but they used this term, “food server,” themselves. I had not received the dinner roll listed in the menu. It appeared quickly and was hot and yummy. But, it came without butter! Again, I stopped someone, my waitress this time, and got butter after all of the wonderful heat had escaped. No soup or salad remained and not heat in an otherwise great dinner roll. Yes, I said waitress instead of food server! I, of course will return to this wonderful four star restaurant, and will hope for five stars. My four star breakfast and lunch has fallen from the skies. It barely earned one star today, July 7, 2022. Stopped in for a late breakfast with my good buddie, Steve. To start with, we stood at the "reception," desk for over ten minutes without so much as a nod from the numerous employs that walked right by us. Finally, after trying to get a human being to notice us, a nice lady, who later got us our drinks. Noticed us and led us away to one if the many empty tables. Now the second ten minute wait for a server. She took our order and promised us soft butter fir our toast after we noted that the butter we always received was useless when you tried to spread it on cold toast. That waitress disappeared and after. Fifteen more minutes another waitress finally comes with our very simple breakfasts. Would you believe with a handful of petrified butters. The kind you can not even soften by holding them in your arm pits for five minutes. If you are keeping score, thirty-five minutes have passed, the earth has turned on its axis 35/1440ths of a day. Please check my math calculations. I did it in my head. This totally new food server died not know whose plate belongs to whom. She scurries off to get us soft butter, better known as whipped butter in the restaurant business. Did the the breakfast club change hands. Did the shortage of qualified food servers sink this established restaurant to one star. I do not...
Read moreI asked the waitress what she recommended and ran with it. Raspberry French toast with a cinnamon roll, corned beef hash, two eggs over easy, bacon, and two sausage patties.
The cinnamon roll had an amazing airy texture, super fluffy, and the frosting was generously applied. That being said the flavor was just slightly above average.
The sausage patties were very similar in that they were cooked perfectly but were lacking a bit in flavor.
The bacon was the only item that I feel wasn't really cooked properly. The pieces were in this weird in between place of not really undercooked but not really done either. Still bacon so not bad.
The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy as requested and went fantastic with the hash which was also cooked just right.
The French toast was such a mixed bag for me. It was everything you expect French toast to be as far as consistency, texture, and doneness. The butter and whipped cream were fantastic but it is the raspberry sauce that really caught me off guard. At most places the fruit sauce tastes like syrup, which is highly disappointing. That was not the case here. The sauce tasted like actual raspberries, though a little weak. For that alone the French toast gets a solid 4/5.
The atmosphere is very quaint and reminiscent of the dinners you would find driving cross country some years ago. The staff was also very friendly and attentive to the needs of their customers. Checking in frequently as well as topping off drinks and asking for feedback.
The coffee reminds me of what you get at a truck stop at midnight thirty. Not gourmet by any means but still good and heart warming. I dropped two half and halfs into my second cup and it was just right.
I give Loveland Breakfast Club a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars, rounded up to 4 just based on my interactions with the staff. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to trying more of the menu on future visits, including the lunch menu. If you are in the area and looking for a nostalgic environment with some decent food,...
Read moreI have always loved the Loveland Breakfast Club - it's a local classic and has been for many years! But recently they've hired a lot of younger help who are all smiles, quick to help and kind, that have really made the experience even better! Service is faster than ever, the food is warm, delicious, and comforting, and I have to say that their cinnamon roll is the best I have ever had. The entire roll has the taste of the very center, that soft, gooey, flavorful bite usually my best friend and I have to fight over - here, we both win!
It's become a staple to visit at least twice a month if not more, simply because their spinach omelette (to me) is the perfect ratio of egg, cheese and spinach, and they still have incredibly reasonable prices for their food, despite inflation and the extra help they have around the restaurant.
I highly, highly recommend you come here if you're looking for something traditional Loveland used to be. To share with friends, family, and support those around us, with food and friendship in equal measure. Lori was my waitress this last time and she knew what i wanted before I wanted it! Thanks lovely, I appreciate you and can't wait to see...
