Does this place have new owners or management? We loved this place and hadn't been in for a while. I stopped in the other day. There was a woman who appeared to be some sort of management, she was petting a dog at the large patio door. I walked by her, and she was moving toward the bar. I smiled and let her go first, and she stared blankly right through me, sat down at her laptop. I stood at the bar for several minutes. The bartender, bearded fella, did everything he could to NOT make eye contact with me. He was doing nothing, standing there, facing me and saying nothing. I'd look at him and he'd look away or down. Of all the staff moving around, not one single person acknowledged me in the 10-12 minutes I was there. Your products are good, but they're not good enough for me to ever darken your doorway again, and be treated like I'm...
Read moreTHANK YOU Verboten team for providing such a lovely space for my dad's 80th birthday get together! Angie (owner) was very open and responsive from the beginning, Tomas (manager) took many emails and calls to field my questions as needed, and Kelsey (Lead Beertender) was there to welcome us with open arms and ensure we had everything we needed!! The guys working later that night were also AMAZING!
We reserved the Barrel Room and it was such a great space to set up what we needed food and decoration wise and have access to all the great beers all night next door! I strongly suggest considering having an event here as they will treat you like family! My dad said it was a "perfect evening"!! That's all I need...
Read moreWe like stouts, therefore we like Verboten Brewing. It's that simple. "Darkness" bourbon-barrel aged Irish coffee stout is really good. "Darkness Cellar Reserve" is fantastic, and well worth the extra dollar. Both are STRONG beers and strongly suggest you limit yourself to no more than 2. Ask me how I know! We haven't tried all their stouts yet, so I am not recommending the Darknesses above any others - yet.
They don't serve food here, but their neighbors do, and it's pretty cool. You can scan a QR code on your table and order food delivered. The cool part is, they know exactly which table to bring it to - the QR code is that specific. Nice...
