You ever have that feeling when you walk into a place and you just know it’s going to be disappointing? I had that feeling today when I walked into this Wendys and I ignored it. I shouldn’t have. Don’t be me.
It took forever to order, and even longer to get our food, despite the place being almost completely empty. The floor was sticky, the chairs were sticky, the tables were sticky.
During our whole visit, there was an older couple sitting quietly in the corner with empty trays. In retrospect I wonder if they were still alive, or they just got glued to the spot sometime back in the 80s and became part of the decor.
While we were waiting, we decided to get our drinks and some ketchup. Neither one worked. Both were sticky.
Peeling away from the drink station, we sauntered over and adhered ourselves to a table to wait for our food, which arrived several hours later. It was 2 kid meals and 2 grown up meals. A total of 12 items. 3 were missing. I figured they probably got stuck somewhere back in the kitchen, so I went up to the 15 year old stoner kid at the counter to inquire. He was nice enough, but clearly had no idea how to run the register. Nevertheless, he gave us whatever I told him was missing, which is good because I never received a receipt. Im guessing it got bound up with thousands of others into some kind of financial paper mache back behind the counter.
Nobody working there seemed to be in much of a hurry to do anything, but to be fair, it’s possible they were just succumbing to the inexorable forces of adhesion. I can only imagine the sheer physical exhaustion that comes from working in that environment; it would be like walking on one of those planets where your feet are 5 times heavier than they are on earth. Like a wooly mammoth struggling to escape the dreaded LaBrea tar pits every time a burger needs to be flipped. I can see how that would really cut down on production.
The rest of the visit was unremarkable. The food was pretty bad, even by fast food standards. But whaddayagonnado? Complain to the manager? I’m sure the captain of the SS Flypaper is gonna get right on that.
Long story short, this Wendy’s is bad. Real bad. I highly recommend you go somewhere else. RUN AWAY WHILE YOU...
Read moreThis Wendy's is consistently a trainwreck. They are slow and unorganized, leave delivery people waiting between 40 minutes and an hour; I've had this happen multiple times.
Today after making my Dasher wait 40 minutes for food, they neglected to put any freaking meat in the burger (missing both beef patty and bacon), no straws, fries cold.
Awful experience. And thats fairly par for the course.
Edit: Oct of 22 (3 months after above)- someday, I'll order from this Wendy's and get what I ordered, with sauces and condiments and stuff. Today was not that day.
Edit 2: March of 2023: still the literal worst. I ordered 3 items; salad, nuggets, Jr bacon burger. I got the salad and the burger. Asked for the nuggets then had to ask for the sauce. 3 items. Nope.
Edit 3: April 2023. Went through for Brekfast. People standing outside doors which say dining room should be open but isn't, so went through drive through. Only car in the drive through, and we get parked, which we later found out was to maintain their timers (inaccurately clearly). I pulled up to the front where indicated, and the actual spot wasn't visible from the drive through though would've been clearly visible from the counter. We wait. And wait. And eventually go back around to the drive through to find out "they couldn't see us so they didn't know where we went." Because clearly stepping 4 feet to her left was unreasonable. Or making any effort whatsoever.
And they still managed to get the order wrong. Impressive since it was only 2 sandwiches and a thing of potatoe wedges.
Edit 4: May 2023 via Doordash 1:30pm lunch order cancelled by restaurant. The stream of failure continues unabated.
Edit 5: June 2023 5pm Doordash dinner. Burger meal, nuggets salad. They finally got all the parts to the salad, but got no nuggets. Still have yet to get my whole order from here the first time in the 3 years...
Read moreWe have ordered online via the app several times and selected drive-thru for pickup. We have also ordered in drive thru, only to wait 20 plus minutes most times regardless of ordering method for food...at a FAST food establishment.
Today, however, was the worst experience yet. Order via the app and did carry out pick up since drive thru is always so bad. Still waited about 15 min for food. When we opened it up, there was ketchup literally all over both double stacks to the point you wouldn't want to pick them up, let alone eat them. Then, instead of 2 Crispy Chicken BLTs, we get cheeseburgers with lettuce, mayo and onion. We take them in and they give us 2 new Crispy Chicken BLTs while they get other double stacks...when we open them up...there was no bacon and no tomato but there was onion so no B or T in a BLT. 6 sandwiches all made wrong. What a waste of food. The Manager says everyone makes mistakes, taking no ownership that this is not just missing pickles. We are talking about complete negligence in reading a screen and preparing food according to proper procedures. This is careless, wasteful and unacceptable.
