It was our holiday today & it's Father's day as well so everywhere we went it was packed or a very long wait. Since we were on City Line Ave we found this place on line somewhere new figured we would try it. Best part it was empty no crowd. Should have been a sign of what was to come.We went there to have breakfast, they had no pancakes so we decided to get the scrambler. (Which is Liquid eggs, no taste & NASTY) so I added salt and pepper thinking that would help. STILL NASTY. To me it was uneatable. So I decided to get a refund or change the meal to Lunch. This is is where the service got very funky. I asked to speak to the manager, so he could know that we were unhappy with our food. He comes out I explain that we could no eat this food and he said;"I'll give you a refund" I said we could get lunch instead that would work for us. We get to the register so he could take the order I choose to get 2- pick 2's Tuna sandwich & cheddar broccoli soup. Only lettuce & tomatoes come on the sandwich. I like my food to be what I want so I asked for mayo He said: "it doesn't come with mayo , I asked for Cheese, he said: people don't usually ask for cheese on there Tuna. (WRONG) So I said I would like mayo & Cheese on our sandwiches. Now this whole time he is giving me attitude with all my requests. I'm tryna be as pleasant as possible. So as he is ringing up the food there is still money left so I asked for Avocados on my sandwich & a lemonade to drink. Since I'm detecting attitude I said I'm not tryna cause a problem just figured we get lunch instead. We came in for pancakes and you didn't have any I got the scrambler, I didn't know it was Liquid eggs, He says: well it says it writ up there so I'm looking to see. ( not up there, nor on the paper menu we ordered from. So lies you telling me. Then the young lady comes to the table and says: we don't have any cheddar & broccoli soup. This made me laugh please just give us another half of sandwich to complete the order. Tuna sandwich was good enough, bread was sweet nice touch.
Manager needs to check his attitude, because we just came.to have a meal. Not my fault he didn't order all his supplies. I will report this experience to management. Fix ur...
Read moreI just returned home from the City Avenue Corner Bakery Cafe. The date is Febuary 17th and visit was from about 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This was also the worker who had brought our food to the table. When bringing my food to our table (a salad and chili bread bowl). She practically threw the bread bowl at me and spilled chili and wasting it inside the plate plate.
During our dining period she walked by several times and once said to my friend "what is you looking at" in a mumbling tone. Very disrespectful. At the time we laughed it off.
Upon leaving the restaurant a female employee followed my friend and I out of the doors and threatened us by yelling profanities at us. We proceeded by walking away further but I couldn't go home without at least letting the manager know about this situation.
When I entered back into the restaurant alone, I headed towards the kitchen to find the manager. Upon walking through the restaurant I was able to spot and confront the female who had threatened us on our way out of the shopping center about the situation. I approached her to sort out what may have been a misunderstanding and she came off as very hostile.
First, I asked "was there a problem?" She responded "why did you keep looking at me, sir?" with a very threatening tone. I responded "what was the problem?" She then put her dish tray down and proceeded to approach me in a very threatening manner. and said "would if be wrong if i smacked you?"
I then became very frightened of the situation and prepared to be struck in the face.
A co-worker of the female then restrained her from making anymore threatening statements/actions.
Upon walking out I witnessed a co-worker restraining her further from charging at me while I was on my way to the door.
Will be consulting an attorney and requesting surveillance footage.
I asked to speak with a manager which then I was...
Read moreThis was my third time coming to this location and I must say this was a horrible experience. First I waited at the counter to have my order taken for several minutes before someone decided take my order. I then proceed to give my order and I think everything is fine until My husband and I receive mix and matched orders. I didn’t order bacon or cheese in my eggs, he did and he got cheeseless eggs. Neither of us asked for onions but there they were. I also asked for the seasonal specialty Strawberry Lemon Pancakes but they didn’t show up. The wait staff was nice, but I overheard the woman that took my order spew lies to management. All in all the manager tried to correct the mistake and I would have been ok but the another wrong order came out and I nearly lost my cool.
Now the first time I came the pancakes were HUGE!!! There were 4 strips of bacon and a mountain of eggs. I was under the impression that it was their regular plate style. I referred several friends and coworkers I eat eat here and some said their plate size was extremely small. So needless to say, this establishment made a liar out of me. I returned today to see what had changed and the pancakes were small, there were only two strips of bacon and barely any eggs. The mushrooms in my eggs were so raw they crumbled in my mouth (not appealing at all). My husband looked at me and shook his head and said never again. And my friend either. They said the service was lack luster and I told them the atmosphere was great and management stayed on top of things. I spoke so highly of this place and now I have to apologize to my friends for their bad experience. I gave it two stars simply for the good experience the first time around. But Never Again Corner Bakery. Never...
