My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary last night and were very impressed! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess who pulled up our reservation, seated us right away and opened the bottle of wine we brought with us. The atmosphere was lively since every table was full but the noise level was fine and conversational and we never felt like we were being crowded. Our server was over quickly to read the specials and then gave us a little time to decide.
For our appetizer, we ordered the parmesan and crab arancini. They were warm, crispy and drizzled in a sweet balsamic glaze. For the main courses, he ordered the Nonna's gravy and I ordered the branzino. I tasted the pasta and the thick savory tomato sauce from his dish and loved it. I can't say I tried the giant meatball or the sausage in it (I'm a pescatarian and i don't eat meat) but he cleaned the plate so I think it's safe to say he loved it too.
My branzino was finished in a white wine sauce with asparagus and a choice of mashed potatoes or brussels sprouts (I went with the sprouts). The fish was cooked perfectly with a little bit of char on it and the veggies were well done without being mushy. The sauce was light and perfectly complimented everything on the plate.
The service throughout the meal was attentive without being overly so. We never had to ask for water or for our plates to be cleared. Anytime we needed either someone would appear. The portions are huge so we were too stuffed to eat dessert but we enjoyed our experience and will have to save room...
Read moreI've never experienced such horrible service at a restaurant before. My husband took me here for my birthday to try a new place, and boy did this place put a bad taste in my mouth. They are lucky the food was good, or I would have complained to the owner. Our waiter had one other table besides ours, so I do not understand why the service was so bad. Our waiter did not come over to us until 10 minutes after we got seated to ask if we were ready to order. We were, but we decided to just put in an appetizer, thinking that the waiter would be back to take our dinner order. Our appetizer came out, which wasn't even brought out by our waiter, and my husband and I were finished the appetizer before we even ordered our entrees. Finally, 25 minutes later our waiter came over to take our order. By this point, I just wanted to leave and get the check because I knew everything was going to go down hill from there. We got our food, again, wasn't brought out by our waiter. Who the hell knows what he was doing. Food was good, so I was happy about that at least. Once we were done eating, we had to flag our waiter over just to get the check. When he came back, we just handed him our CC, didn't even bother to look at the bill. I think our waiter could tell we were pissed. All in all, I will never be returning to this restaurant due to the lack of service. I am only giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because the...
Read moreIn my search for a good Italian Restaurant to host my best friend of over 30 years 60th birthday dinner party, this hidden gem of restaurant was recommended. We had a party of 25-30 guests so my reservation for 10/25/24 was changed to an event space which was a separate room for a price of $150.00 and a special menu for a 3 course dinner the guests could choose from. The entire planning process with the Manager, Morgan Rago Kane went so smooth. Morgan and her staff were all extremely professional, friendly, attentive and patient with myself and our entire party. All the food was delicious and fresh. Everyone was impressed with the service, food, prices and even the look of the establishment. They allowed us to decorate and set up an hour before the event started. The Manager, Morgan and I stayed in contact with each other and she answered any and all questions I had about the contract, menu and set up. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely return and recommend it to my family and friends. This was a memorable event and this best ever restaurant manager, Morgan Rago Kane was a big...
