Wawa — Restaurant in Lower Merion Township

This Wawa is so racist ! I went in this morning to pick up my orders . As I come in the workers realized someone took some orders at pickup by mistake so they ended up remaking some people (white people ) food . I approached this guy and he tell me to wait then this white woman comes over yelling at me as if I’m bothering her so I started yelling at her . And I told her I was matching her energy and she yelled the entire time . All I wanted was my order . I showed this lady the order and she told Me someone picked it up already and that she’s not making me another one . I said to her that she just remade someone order and why it wasn’t possible to remake mine ? She began saying she thought I was a DoorDash and I said why talk to people like that it doesn’t matter if you thought I was door dash or not why are you yelling at me then not trying to give me my Order because your saying someone picked it up but it was no problem for the white people in front of me to get there food remade .

It’s a shame that we still Live in a world Like this and the crazy part is I’m always at this wawa because I work around here but I feel so uncomfortable going in . I have a video of the incident that I could post on TikTok or YouTube but I don’t want to get this woman fired she clearly having a bad morning . Idk if it had something to do with my skin color or what but this woman was not fw me and was just yelling at me . I didn’t do nothing to this woman .

Update : idk why I keep coming in here . Paid for a 24 oz late and revived a 16oz , told Marisol I paid extra for it and showed her my receipt she didn’t care . The Chinese guy agreed with me and was confused on why she wasn’t trying...

I’m just really baffled. I ordered a hoagie and almost no part of the sandwich was what I ordered. I just wanted an Italian hoagie. I go to Wawa I order the hoagie I take it home I’m ready to have a good dinner that I don’t have to think about. I look at the sandwich. Where is my lettuce? Why is the sauce this shade of yellow? I’m not allergic to anything and I’m hungry enough to try anything so I take a bite. I’m assuming, for my own sanity, that this is mustard. I don’t like mustard. I have been checking the receipt and the note to make absolutely certain I didn’t pick up the wrong sandwich— nope. The little pickup slip has the instructions for an Italian hoagie, garlic aioli, lettuce, my usual works. And yet this sandwich on my plate has almost none of anything I could have expected on my naïve drive home. What it lacks in shredded lettuce, it makes up for in salt. I did order salt, but this amount of salt could preserve a fish in the Sahara desert. I don’t want to be too negative because I’ve had many good experiences at Wawa. There are some parts that I did order. For example, there is bread. I have no idea what to do. It’s not awful— once I removed the most salted meat and accepted that I would have to take a loss. I’m really just confused. I do feel bad about giving this a low rating for one bad experience but you have to understand that I truly feel as if I have entered an alternate dimension in which I am the kind of person who orders mustard on a sandwich. I respect the condiment, and those who would order this sandwich, but I went to Wawa so that I wouldn’t have to think about dinner and here I am with more questions than answers. Terrible customer service. One younger blonde kid once openly spoke about how high he was (which explained a lot of previous visits). I have also checked out without the cashier saying one word to me...maybe she was high as well and lost the ability to acknowledge other humans.

Today was probably the last time I will attempt purchase food there. I had a not so lovely interaction with the woman making drinks. She was beyond rude since I didn't put my slip in her basket. She shook her little basket at me and yelled "slip!". I told her that I had ordered food as well so I was going to put the slip in their basket. She then mumbled something and when I asked what it was she yelled back "have a nice day!".

As for their food...my order tends to be right 3/5 times. They constantly forget to put the sauces I ordered on my hoagies or breakfast burrito. One time a kid actually put my iced latte into a hot drink cup (he was at least nice enough to offer to transfer my iced latte into a...
