This has to be one of the cutest, most inviting breakfast nooks I’ve been to in this area! Maricel was so sweet and welcoming, and she stayed on top of ensuring I was good to go. Adell (sp? 😅 Owner) also came up to check in, and he was very kind.
Food: I got eggs, NY strip, a side of bacon, and a fruit cup. My total bill was about $24, but I did get quite the spread. I was expecting a standard little bowl of fruit, but the plate I was presented was beautiful and just what I was looking for. The steak was IMMACULATELY seasoned, cooked perfectly to my request, and just about melted in my mouth. A plus to the chefs there; I saw two gentlemen in the kitchen and I hope you tell them they’re doing a great job!
Atmosphere: The restaurant is cozy and on the smaller side, but more open than you’d expect. I sat in the back and was able to relax, read a bit, and enjoy my meal (with periodic check ins from Maricel; again, A+ girl!). I tend to be nervous in restaurants because of cleanliness, but I assure you this has to be one of the cleanest spaces I’ve been in in a while. I noticed that the dishes are done in a separate room off the dining area, which I actually like! Adell was active, running dishes and helping where he could. It was nice to see a small team working so well together.
TL;DR Go here! The food is great, the place is clean, and Maricel and Adell are very kind and welcoming. (Again, shout out to the cooks as well!)
Thank you guys for a comforting and enjoyable morning; I really needed it. 💛...
Read moreI always want to support local businesses rather than chain restaurants, so we stopped for breakfast this morning. Wish we hadn’t. I read the reviews and they were all mostly good. Im not sure how that happened. As soon as I walked in I look to the left and could barely even see the man cooking because the lights were completely out in the kitchen. Dark! Zero lights! While cooking. How is that even OK? The staff was really nice. The eggs were ok and so was the coffee. The bacon was dry and brittle and I don’t even know what to say about the hash browns. I can’t even explain them really. Precooked, quickly fried, flat and thin. Barely there? My husband’s sausage links were a gray color on the inside and so he was afraid to eat them. He didn’t touch the home fries. I’m pretty sure they were edible, but they weren’t very appealing looking. And then the soda. His soda had a film floating on the top. grease maybe? The portions were small and our bill was $15 for two eggs, potatoes and a meat. We just paid and laughed because it didn’t seem that anything could be done to make that better unless maybe they completely rehabbed the operation. Do not recommend this place and will...
Read moreMy husband and I had a wonderful lunch today at the St. Thomas Restaurant. It was our first time eating there and both of us were very impressed! We both ordered one of the specials of the day: Patty Melt w/bacon and upgraded to the fries. They gave us nice portions of both the fries and the melt. I also got a cup of the French onion soup, and honestly it was one of the best I've tried! It's hard to find a yummy French onion soup, but this was excellent. I highly recommend adding the soup to your meal. Additionally, the customer service was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very warm, friendly, and family-oriented. We can't wait to make another stop here for breakfast or lunch the next time we...
