So this place has been my home since they opened and they have always delivered. They're the only place in the area where the techs don't rush. Courtney, Nana and Sam are bomb. Nana is the best manicurist while Courtney is the best at paint, especially nail art. Courtney also doesn't rush through the hand massage, which is sooo important! Sam is awesome at nails, but he's kind of rough and you can tell he hates the massage part, so it's not relaxing. Nana is the most personable and she takes her time. I did have a few negative experiences though, and while they weren't a big deal (it's only nails!) I was disappointed with how they were handled. The first time was a disagreement about nail length. I asked for one thing and got another twice in a row. When I brought it up to clarify how I would like my nails in the future, I was told that I was seeing my nails from the wrong angle. (WUT???) They're MY nails. My angle is the only one that matters. My nails angle themselves into my wallet to pay you, don't they? The second time was with a terrible chrome mani. It didn't even last a day before the tips were exposed and black. The powder wore off the base. I went back the next day but was told they couldn't do anything about it because it was the fault of the product. I offered to pay whatever, but the owner Tammy said they couldn't fix it. She said what I wanted wasn't possible (even I was looking at a pic of it online and trying to show her.) I told her I had watched about an hours worth of vids online and could show her the way to apply the powder so it wasn't a sparkly mess, but she insisted it was the product and not the artist. So I guess I'm done. Bamboo Nail spa uses bad product. I have it straight from the owners mouth. It's sad, because I trusted them. I can honestly say I'm going to miss them I and I hate to give the place a negative review. Like 90% of the time I am quite happy with their work. It's just that those 2 times were so disrespectful. Wish they would have listened to me. All in all, great nail...
Read moreI moved to the area from just outside of NYC a little under two years ago and stopped looking for a PA nail spa when I found Bamboo and Tammy. The salon is clean and calm, and they just moved a few doors down from their original location, so there is more space and a better layout than the previous setup. Tammy does meticulous work, Courtney gives great pedicures, and Bamboo is always getting in new shipments of color. I see a previous reviewer docked them stars for their OPI selection, but I find that they have tons of colors/collection releases of both standard and gel polish (and I am an OPI girl myself). Since I can't get back east regularly, I am happy I have Tammy and Courtney to keep my nails, hands, and feet...
Read moreCame here with my 2 nieces for pedicures. There was no wait and they had enough technicians that we could get our nails done together which was nice. I gave 2 stars because they had the smallest selection of opi colors I've ever seen and also, the pedicures were the fastest we've ever had. There was no time to relax with them working so fast and if they had just slowed down a bit, they could have been more thorough. For example, I walked in with blue nail polish and selected a nude polish. The technician didn't even bother to completely remove the blue polish so there was an edge lining of blue around the new nude polish on my toes....
