My grandson's mother had his 2nd birthday party at this location. They have two large pools and a kids pool that wasn't active. The park is huge with several pavilions spreaded throughout the park for private events. The children enjoyed the playground and there was plenty of lawn to play and run on. The pavilion we were under was very windy which made the day better in 90 degrees weather but the decorations and food lids were flying across the area. I believe it also had a sports area as well. There were plenty of parking spaces around the park. The food grilled well and quickly on their installed grills. There wasn't a restroom just porta potties which were clean but flies flying inside the toilet and there was plenty of toilet paper.

It was nice until it rained. The pool area was nice but the charge to get in was too expensive for small children...$10 for a 5, 6, 7 year old...ridiculous and a rip off when other pools in the area only charge $3-$5, then they have a sign after 5pm the cost is less but don't apply on weekends. Right...where does that happen at? Over all we enjoyed what time we could at Koons Park for the Carter/Simpson etc...FAMILY REUNION!

Koons is a decent part park in the heart of Linglestown, PA. There's a kids playground, tennis courts, three pavilions, and several baseball fields. In addition, there's a horse shoe pit and plenty of parking. Worth if for a quick stop with the kids.

The last couple of times my family and I have went here we’ve experience RACISM at its best! I feel as though time and time again my family was being targeted! And of course we were the only family of color right? The past couple times we’ve went there we were being told we couldn’t go to a certain area of the pool just because a woman (of course white) wanted to swim laps! First of all this is a public pool and we paid to get in here just like everyone else like what do you mean ITS A PUBLIC POOL WE CAN SWIM FREELY!! But why are you trying to keep us restricted and telling us we can’t swim wherever want ?? That we have to stick to one side of this pool just because of one person doesn’t want any kids in her way AT A PUBLIC POOL!!! ?? Like this is segregation????!!!! That’s like telling us to go to the back of the bus just because the white woman doesn’t want us near! The woman of course is telling my 12,5&5 year old niece and nephews to move out her way because she was swimming? My nephew is very little and he doesn’t know how to swim so he has floaties on but even that doesn’t help him swim any faster ( he tries very hard though) but for you to tell a child so small and can barely swim ( and you clearly see he can’t swim well) to move out of your way, WELL it had me feeling very APPALLED quite frankly!! But of course a few mins later a group of young white kids come and jump in the lane of the pool EXACTLY where she was swimming, and I’m looking and waiting for THIS WOMAN or one of the LIFEGUARDS to tell those kids to move out of her way and NOTHING! This woman just moved to the opposite side of the pool and didn’t say a word to those kids?? I really don’t understand? I took my nieces and nephews there to just enjoy a nice beautiful day and enjoy swimming together!! But instead we were constantly being targeted by the STAFF AND THIS WOMAN!! I even waited until after the pool closed to speak with someone to get a phone number or email of whoever owned the establishment and the lady who “claimed” she was the manager INSISTED there was no one who owned it! But my biggest question is if you’re just the manager who hired you? Who is your boss and why did you lie to me right to my face???? after I explained to you my issues and told you why I wanted to speak to someone higher up about the issues I’ve experienced here the last few times!! I’m completely flabbergasted like I couldn’t even believe this was happening!! We weren’t doing anything wrong the kids were playing and we were just trying to have a good time but it was completely ruined each time! The kids love that place that’s the reason we went back but there most definitely will not be a next time I’ve had enough of the RACISM!! Where does it end?? Why are we constantly being the only ones targeted just because of the color of our skin?? We’ve got...

Don’t waste your time with this park! The bathrooms were terrible/horrible/nasty & no toilet paper was available. The appearance was very disappointing. The place looked worn down, old & needed a make over, some upgrades & remodeling on the pavilions/picnic area. Our group reservation was suppose to be for the larger pavilion with 14 picnic tables & we ended up with the smaller one with 8. We were told another party showed up really early & they gave them the option of selecting which pavilion they wanted. Meanwhile, we asked how early our party could arrive to set up & they enforced the start up time of 11am & would not allow us to set up any earlier. For the over-rated price of $170 we could’ve done much better somewhere else & would’ve only spent $100. It was way too crowded with multiple ball fields being occupied for numerous sports events. We were also told there was a strict noise ordinance & if any of the neighborhood community residents complained our group would be told to vacate the premises immediately & without a refund. Don’t waste your time with this place. Too many rules, restrictions & you definitely don’t get what you pay for. Our group will never come here again! One & done & sorry we wasted our time...

This is chiefly a place for sports fields. There is really nothing interesting or imaginative about this park. The ballfields are well taken care of, similarly the tennis courts, football field, and brand-new bocce ball courts are in good shape. The playground is not great and showcases one of my pet peeves: the mulch is overfilled so that the little springy ride-on toys are non-functional. There is a pool that is fairly small but fun enough. There is no real walking path to speak of, though the surrounding side streets make for a pleasant walk. A plus for this park is that the pavilion is very close to the parking lot, as is the playground, and the whole park is fairly flat, making it pretty accessible. However, the few paved paths throughout are narrow...
