Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Lower Providence Township

I went to this Applebees specifically because my daughter got a reward from school which was on a card, it stated she did her project well. I used to work here and the food from this one is better than one @ East Norriton. I went in and got told to just show it to my server and that they’d take care of it. So I did and the server was very kind and I asked her if she could write “redeemed” and the date so I could keep it for that “memory drawer” and they wouldn’t think I would try to use it again. She said of course. When we were done I went to the bathroom with my child while my boyfriend payed. I didn’t get to take a look at the bill, when I got back our server was taking it to finish out and when she brought back the bill after charging the cc I noticed only the side was taken off. The reward was for a whole kids meal. So I asked her if she could get it changed and she said she was going to speak to the manager (Manuel) she came back and told me there would be a double charge and I told her I understand and that’s fine….i work in fast food I completely understand the whole “you won’t see the refund for 2-3 business days” I say it at my current job about 5 times a day. She went back to her manager and came back with him and he repeated it again and also gave the option of using the reward another day. thing is money is tight right now so i needed to keep that bill low in order to even give the server a tip. So my boyfriend told him the refund is fine. The manager proceeded to take the little card that showed the reward and I told my server to tell him to not throw it out please. (The card didn’t have a number or anything he needed to redeem, the bill said “comp” which means the manager took it off with his authorization) She came back to me and deeply apologized and said he said I couldn’t have it back. I’m not the type to cause a scene so I just gave the server a tip and we left but the fact that the manager threw out a memory of my child infuriated me so I decided to...

Our server was amazing! Didn't appreciate her coworkers' behavior towards her. Especially the one girl.. I wish I asked what her name was. She is a little short and her hair is long, but sits at an angle at the top. Like this "". That is the best description I can give for her. She started a conversation with our server, then called her out for "talking while at a table". We didn't mind at all and gave her time to respond to her coworker. Since, you know...her co worker STARTED a conversation with her. She very loudly told her she was rude and told me to tell her she was rude. I was very uncomfortable at that point and just laughed it off. She then proceeded to get aggressive with our server and accused her of stealing tables. I ignored it until I noticed this girl and another employee talking negatively about our server while she was only a few tables away from them. She obviously heard what they were saying because her entire demeanor changed and she looked upset. My friend and I felt so bad for her. The antagonist in this situation spent the rest of the time stomping around and slamming things on the register behind our table. One thing I can never tolerate is bullying. Especially when it's coming from adults who know better.

Negativity aside, i want highlight how amazing our server was. She made us feel comfortable and welcome right away. She was very easy and fun to talk to. Has a ton of personality that is bright and energetic. Even the people behind us seemed to love her. I would name her and tell all of you to ask for her when ever you go here, but I would hate for her to be harassed any further by her coworkers.
