It's been a REALLY long time since I visited BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Lubbock. However, I found an old gift card and I've been wanting to try the $13 Pizookie special so off I went to lunch today. I was seated immediately and was very quickly greeted by this bubbly little thing called Tatum! Smiles from ear to ear and a very welcoming attitude. She took my drink order and quickly came back and took my order. I had a traditional BJ's cheeseburger and fries with iced tea. I choose the strawberry shortcake Pizookie. This all was the $13 part minus the tea which was extra. The burger was very flavorful with crisp vegetables. I liked the BJ's sauce on it very much. Fries were hot and slightly crispy. The tea was real tea. Not the tea colored water you get at a lot of places. The Pizookie is the mini version but it was more than enough with lots of sweet strawberries. As good as the food was the service was even better! Tatum told me she loves single diners and it clearly showed. She touched base often and offered a to go cup for my tea. I even got a table touch from the manager. The found gift card may have got me there but it was the very good food and ESPECIALLY the service that will bring me back!!

We had lunch here around 12:30 on 11/18. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. Our server was kind and attentive. We started with garlic bread and avocado egg rolls for our appetizers. And I had a delicious Hefeweizen. The garlic bread was okay, but the egg rolls were fantastic. Our entrees were amazing though. My son thoroughly enjoyed his chicken sandwich and my wife loved the salmon. I got the trip tip combo with baby back ribs, roasted veggies, and a loaded baked potato. The trip tip was perfectly cooked and juicy. The ribs fell off the bone and had a delicious bbq sauce. And both sides were scrumptious. But the star of our visit was definitely the salted caramel pizookie. It disappeared quickly between the three of us. The salted caramel really helped balance out the sweetness of the cookie and ice cream. Overall, we had a good time and shared a great meal.

Tavern like Atmosphere with a spacious modern design that gives dinners a sense of privacy while dining. Menu has something for every mood from quick bites to semi-formal nite out. Tried pizza, chicken strips and burgers. Plenty of fresh toppings on the mini pizza and it was plenty for one possibly two. Stingy on the sauce and a bit doughy. Strips came with real mash potatoes and were very tender that came with ranch and requested buffalo and Nashville hot ssuces. Nashville hot had a ranch type base that killed both flavor and eye test.Burgers are top quality beef and cooked to order with very good battered fries. Extensive beer menu highlighted by their signature brews. I tried the Piranha Pale Ale that paired nicely with both burger and pizza. Friendly professional staff with a floor manager over seeing all.

To begin with we walked in late. It was 945 at night. There was not a lot of people they are surprisingly, and they shut down multiple areas in the restaurant, but still plenty of room at the bar area to sit.

We grabbed a small booth and sat down. It took about 12 to 15 minutes for somebody to acknowledge us to come get our drink order. Once the young man did get our drink orders, they were brought out in a timely manner. We asked about the house drinks that were on special as well as appetizers.

We ordered the wonton off of the list and he asked if we would like the spicier or regular. We went with the spicier. Just FYI, if you go with the spicier it’s 15.99 versus six dollars. Definitely would’ve went with the cheaper side.

My husband ordered a Jack Daniels and Dr Pepper because they did not have Coke products. The first was a single short and it was just fine. The second he ordered was a double short and it was the same exact as the first one. He told the young man and the waiter himself went and made the drink. It definitely was better and had the two shots in it.

My husband ordered wings boneless and I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin. I had brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I had my steak cooked to medium rare. I may steak snob because I used to judge me in college. I knew the moment the state came out. It was not a sirloin. It was literally a 2 inch rectangle roast that they called a sirloin. It was medium well too well done in the entire state. I made mention to my server and he did take it back and bring out a new one again the same exact thing but I just told him that never mind leave it alone.

The waiter had the stake removed from our ticket. The only thing I ate off of my plate with two bites of potatoes, two bites of steak and all of the brussels sprouts that were also overcooked. The mashed potatoes were so dry and you could find flakes of uncooked mashed potatoes in them .

Again, the waiter was apologetic and we had no problems with service after we got our drinks finally. I ended up tipping him 30% just because of the hassle of everything, but he took exceptional care of us.

We had a pizza to go, but the problem is is the toppings weren’t cooked. We ordered a pepperoni, sausage and double mushroom. A personal pan. The mushrooms were 100% raw still. Again, not good.

I’m not sure that we will return to this location because out of the five times we’ve come it has not been good food the last three times. The only reason we stopped by this time was because we got into...

We arrived, we had made a reservation at five, we arrived a few minutes early, it took them a few minutes to get a seated because of the high chairs and the sling. We waited about 10 minutes or so and no one came or offered us service. The manager seem to spend quite a bit of time at the next table over visiting with those people and did not even offer to come over and asked to see if we have been helped I ended up going up to the hostess station and asking who our waiter or waitress was, and they apologized and said oops they would get them. Finally, a server came over and asked if we had been served. After that, the manager did drop by our table and welcomed us, but he sure did not hang around And visit with us the table next to us. My wife ordered chicken Alfredo, I had a guacamole, bacon burger, and the kids had the kids meals. My fries were very very salty, more salt and McDonald’s put on theirs. The kids meals seem to be OK, I could’ve got a better burger for a better deal at the neighboring restaurants, it was tasty, but it wasn’t the best. My wife, however she said it was very tasty and she was very much enjoying it. She said it was one of the best ones she had and then she wound up finding a hair in the midst of the noodles. It took me a minute to find it. She had to pointed out to me. It was a small black hair, and no one of us have that kind of hair. Of course, no server was to be found around us so I had to waive the manager down, he did apologize and said that was very unacceptable. He offered to have my wife’s meal remade, and she refused, saying that she basically lost her appetite even though it was really good. They did remove that meal from our order. Overall, I was not satisfied with this experience, the service, especially and then the food, unfortunately.

Update: B.J.s was very appreciative of our feedback and contacted me about our experience. I did not expect a a contact from the corportate office but that shows so much from this. I had no idea that this was chain. They asked that we give them another try. We will be visiting another B.J.s Location this month on our vacation. I am excited to see what we experience at ths restaurant. I will place another review after this vist. Thank you B.J.s for reaching out and making...

If I could give a half a star rating I would. Me and my buddies were in town for a show and decided to get some food before we headed out. We walked in at 10:03 P.M. We were a party of 7. Immediately we were greated by a waiter who visually looked like he did not want to be there. We asked what time they closed and he responded by saying they closed at 12:00am, when they closed at 1am. We were seated and we were asked what drinks we wanted. When we gave our drink orders he left and proceeded to go up to a different waitress to talked to her. Mind you we still were insight of our waiter. He looked at the waitress and began to talk to her about our table. We know he was because he looked right at us and turned to her with a disgusted look. We received our drinks which were watered down tea, tasted awful. We waited for the waiter to come back and take our food order. We waited and waited as we saw all of the other tables around us getting there orders taken and even delivered while we still waited. When he finally got around to us to take our order he began to rudely explain why he couldn't simply replace a side item for another on a certain plate. Understandable, but not the best way to explain it to a customer who had never been to this establishment. We waited and waited for our food to arrive when after 40 minutes later the waiter told us that it would be about 3 minutes more for the food to come out. Again, understable but we ended up waiting about 20 minutes more not "about 3". Our food finally came out and two of the plates were cold to the touch where you can tell the food had been sitting for a good while without it being brought out. Those two plates were sent back by my buddies who didn't understand why the food wasn't brought out. To top it off another waitress was helping and tending to us through our long wait. At this time it is 12:00am. Will not be visiting this location again awful service by and...
