Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews — Restaurant in Lubbock

Orlando’s was PACKED. Chuy’s was PACKED. Razoo’s wasn’t open... but we were in the area and Red Robin had PLENTY of tables. Which should have clued us in, but we figured it would be quicker, and I’ve heard the burgers are good. We ordered some wings that were really good, I would go back for the wings. We ordered. We’re a picky bunch, but the waitress wrote everything down and repeated it back, thought everything was alright. Refills were a little slow, but not terribly so. Burgers came out and one was missing a couple of things we asked for on the side. I ordered the veggie burger with the salsa on the side. It was missing the cheese and avocado (salsa was on the side, though...) and there were two SMALL parmesan mushrooms on it with a bit of sauce. By the time the waitress came back everyone else was halfway through their burgers (but i was dining with two teenagers, and they were starving, of course). The waitress came by the table and i told her about the missing items. She went to the kitchen, and I decided to try a bite of the veggie patty, and by that time it was lukewarm and a little rubbery, so i decided to not eat it. The manager came over just a few moments later, and apologized and asked if there were anything she could do. I asked that it be taken off the ticket, and she offered a free dessert. The dessert was delicious, my kids enjoyed their burgers, and again, the wings were REALLY good (jalapenos were nice and spicy!) My husband and mother in law are ok with trying other things before going back (second time for each of them). The Garlic fries & regular steak fries were good as well. The manager was quick to make things right. However, one of the tickets paid in cash, and the waitress didn’t bring the $.43 in change. She lost $8...

The service was horrendous. Food was wrong and had to be made again. The server added two extra, complete meals and brought them to our table that we didn't even order. We explained we were going to a concert and requested a "rush" on or food. One burger ordered without mayo came with mayo. The other with a fried egg, over medium, came sunny side up. The Michalada was 100% tomato juice and was sent back. The server who brought baskets of fries to our table, dropped one on the floor, kicked it out of the way with his foot. The fries were old and cold. The basket of fries which was dropped was literally left on the floor the entire time we were there and was still there when we left. Our bill was never straightened out and we had to ask multiple times for the two extra cheese burger meals to be taken off as well as the awful Michelada. At the very end of our meal, as we were leaving the manager finally came over. We expressed our dissatisfaction with a few select, choice words and her statement to us was "I was going to take some off of your bill but I had a 50 guest party on the patio" I guess at this Red Robbin service only matters if you're a party of 50 +. We have never had sub par service in Amarillo, never had a bad meal or even had to send any food back to the kitchen. Won't be eating at the Lubbock Red Robin again. It wasn't our first choice. We had intended to eat at Chuy's or BJ's but both had 30 minute wait times for tables. When we called to ask about RR wait time we were told " we don't have any wait times" Now...

My husband and granddaughter took me here for my birthday I had heard so much great stuff and was eager to try the food. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF OUR TIME AND MONEY. They don't have a very good kids food selection to start with, secondly they completely messed up on my husband's SIMPLE burger order (KETCHUP ONLY not hard , very simple and certainly not rocket science) but instead of only ketchup it had everything and my burger well fresh ripe avocados (not rotten, brownish/black) without a foul taste or smell and fresh tomatoes (not rotten and certainly not a vomiting taste) WOULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY NICE AND WELL APPRECIATED. The attitude from the staff simply for asking them to correctly make my husband's burger was unbelievably insane and let's not even add the fumed response to me sending back my food (after I did vomit from taking a bite) and pointing out the obvious rotten vegetables. To put it nicely if I was a health inspector that place would have been made to shut it's doors immediately and remain so until they could comply with health rules and regulations and pass another inspection no violations. They lack professionalism, common sense or common curtosey, extremely rude and ill-mannered, have no sense of responsibility or work ethics with extreme anger issues and very poorly managed. IT'S EXTREMELY OVERRATED AND I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Let's not forget the women's bathroom at least smelled worse than a porter potty, hygiene essentials shortly supplied and...
