Iâm done with this location. When my family and I went to eat here a few weeks ago I was rather disappointed with our experience. The dining room was a complete mess and we were literally the only customers in the building not to mention everything about our sub orders were skimpy including the chips. Fast forward to 9/10. My family and I rarely get to eat together so when we changed where we would typically eat on a Sunday morning, I was pretty excited to go the Dionâs route instead. We usually go eat before I have work and this location is very close to my job. We were running a little behind on time but I placed the order on the app before heading up there and the timing of 30 minutes given to us was perfect. We did arrive a little early so I didnât expect our pizza to be ready but I had hoped we would be able to get our drinks and cheese toast before. When informing the girl at the register we had an online order she went over to pies and came back nervously telling us that our pizza wasnât ready yet but that she could give us our drinks. I told her that was fine but that we were in a bit of a hurry so asked if we could get our cheese toast before (we always ask for our cheese toast before and itâs never a problem) she said that due to policy theyâre unable to give half orders. I found that odd but said okay and waited for our drinks. We sat down with our drinks and our pizza had about 5 minutes before it would hit the 30 minute mark. I waited 15 minutes before I headed up to the counter to see what the hold up was as I was now 30 minutes away from having to be at work. Iâm assuming the man I talked with was the manager and I saw him look at what appeared to be the box that had our cheese toast in it. He walked over to pies and came back informing me that our pizza was dropped but they put in another one. It was very upsetting that we were not informed of this when it happened. I asked if we could please have our cheese toast as we were in a hurry and it was already there and ready. He handed it to me and when opening it at the table we could clearly tell it sat there for a while. The cheese looked old on top and the bread was hard not to mention 2 pieces had no cheese on them at all. We had no time to complain about it so we swallowed down what we could. We waited 15 more minutes before our pizza was ready. I was going to eat 1 slice as fast as possible since at this point I was going to be late to work and to no surprise at all at this point the pizza was not even cut right so I ended up with half a torn slice before having to run my way out the door. Iâll stick to the Elgin location. Much cleaner and at least they communicate when thereâs an order issue instead of seemingly hoping a customer wonât notice it took an hour for their...
Read moreDion's makes such great pizza! I ordered a large carnivore. It was amazing! So much meat on top. It was a little pricier than the other pizza places, but so worth it! The dough is really delicious, too. And the large pizza is bigger than other places. I just loved it and so did my family. We don't always choose pizza from Dion's, but when we do, everyone feels like it is a special treat. Oh and don't forget the salad. We love the family sized chef's salad. It is fresh and they really add the ingredients. Sometimes that is all we get. A family sized Chef's salad comes with ham and eggs and bacon and cheese and croutons and lettuce and tomatoes and I am sure I'm missing other things, but you get the picture. It is really something. And their Ranch dressing is like no other. You can buy it by the bottle, but they also give you plenty with their salads. We like to keep it on-hand at home, so we just add a bottle to our order. It is reasonably priced, too. If you haven't ever had Dion's, you are not going to regret trying it. Do it tonight. Or stop by at lunch and get a...
Read moreMy visit was an overall good first time experience. The place looked clean, the staff was very nice, very friendly, and very professional. I ordered their largest size pizza with chicken, pepperoni, spinach, and mushroom. It did take at minimum 20 minutes until it was ready, so the wait was a little tiring but nothing too terrible. Once the pizza was ready, it was a great size, looked amazing, was very crunchy from the bottom (which I loveddd) and cooked on the top but it did feel a little watery in the middle (maybe water from the spinach and mushrooms..?). I'm not sure if it's because it was a thick pizza but my brothers and I thought it was lacking flavor/seasoning. The fresh ingredients were there and it didn't taste bad, but I think we were just expecting more from it.. So in conclusion, the staff were phenomenal, it's a nice place, and the pizza was good but flavor didn't impress us. Although if were ever in the area again and wanted pizza, we'd probably just order a...
