So we came in on Sunday with a party of 6 adults, two kids and one toddler. They got us seated in a reasonable time for that size party and the waiter was very personable. We all ordered and it was not too long when the food came out. We had ordered "crispy" bacon on two of the orders. One of the kids had ordered the cinnamon toast crunch French toast off the kids menu with "crispy" bacon as well. They brought regular French toast. The bacon on that order and the other had to be sent back. They did not bring out one of the sides with one of the orders and we had to ask for it again. I'm not sure how that happens when the waiter writes down "crispy" bacon and it comes out as limp as a noodle. When someone takes the time to tell you "crispy" I'm pretty sure that should be a pretty good sign that they don't want limp uncooked bacon. When we got the bill, we were looking at the prices of everything. The kids meals on the breakfast menu are not bad, but they do not include any kind of drink. We discovered why. They charged $3.29 for a milk and $3.29 for an orange juice. Now, even as high as groceries are right now, you can buy a gallon of milk for $3.29. That is just outright ridiculous and we learned a valuable lesson. Look for the price of the drinks or ask if need be. That is highway robbery. The food everyone ordered was good once we got what we ordered. Beware of the...
Read moreI ordered online. The order was posted and said confirmed by restaurant at 9:45 a.m. it said it would be ready in 15-30 minutes. I have extra time and got there at 10:30 a.m. When I went into the restaurant through their designated to-go door, I was passed by the servers and the manager with no getting at all. The manager couldn't find my order at all and had to get a server to come help him locate it on the online order table they have. It had not even been put in. When it finally came out, both ordered omelets were wrong, and I was missing an order of pancakes. Luckily I checked before leaving. I notified a server who took them to get fixed. The manager brought them back to me, and the side was still wrong, but I gave up at this point. I've worked on the restaurant industry, so I try to give a little have, especially when it's really busy (which it wasn't), but this was unacceptable. The manager had a horrible attitude, didn't apologize once, and acted like I was the one doing something wrong to him by politely asking for what I ordered and paid for. Before I left, an Uber driver came in for a to-go order as well. The same issue happens with them confirming online without entering it into their order system. The manager was super rude to him as well. Over an hour after I ordered, I finally got my (mostly) correct order to take home to my...
Read morei'm sad that we waited so long to try this place out! such a charming & vibrant atmosphere, with fantastic food and beverage options. i don't typically want to try everything on a menu, but i do here.
you could tell that the staff enjoy working here as it translated into great food & service. Veronica did an amazing job and it was obvious that other guests were being served to the same standard by other wait staff.
i had the Popeye's Revenge omelette, a caramel macchiato and a chocolate fudge iced coffee to go. the omelette was well made and very tasty. 3 eggs are a bit much for me especially with 2 sides, but i ate most of it because it was so delicious. i had a bowl of nice fresh fruit and the bacon (which btw is COMPLETELY worth the $2.99 upcharge) for my sides. there was quite a selection of sides to choose from, though the gluten-free options were a little on the slim side. it would be nice to see a sweet potato option as well for those that need to avoid white potatoes. so in spite of my desire to try everything on the menu, there are a few things that i can't actually try, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to! 😉 other than that, i'm thrilled with Jimmy's Egg and can't wait to return! if you haven't tried them yet,...
