This is not a cafe. This is fast food Mexican. I was passing through town and wanted some good Mexican food. Unfortunately, I chose Rosa's Cafe. The building is beautiful, the decor inside is beautiful, the employees were super helpful and kind, and it is conveniently located right off the freeway, but the food was terrible. I ordered the tamale plate. By my pictures I'm posting you probably can't tell there are even tamales on the plate because they put so much heavy sauce on them. There are three tiny tamales that probably equal the size of one normal tamale. I couldn't even taste the tamales because the sauce was so heavy and so strong. Tamales don't need sauce. They are amazing if they are just served plain in their corn husk wrappers. They give tortillas with every meal but I did not care for their homemade tortillas. They were very chewy and gummy. I also sat at a booth that appeared to be "clean" but the table was very sticky all over and the booth seat on the other side had refried beans or something smeared across the back and a piece of napkin stuck on it. This made me look closer at things and it appears the whole place needs a deep cleaning. Their building also has very high ceilings and there was a large family with lots of small kids and their little voices were just echoing so loud throughout the entire restaurant. Family noises and restaurant noises never really bother me. Noise can even add to the experience sometimes if you go to a very popular, crowded little place. But this was different altogether and very unpleasant. I was expecting a good experience because this place has 4.3 stars on google. I was very disappointed. Some good news, the bathroom had just been cleaned and mopped...

Update. 8/26/23 It's been over 6 weeks I have tried repeatedly to get ahold of everyone and anyone that could help me. I went in today and tried again to order just fajita meat. A half pound of beef fajita meat bo cheese or beans and rice, no onions and bell peppers, was 23.99. I complained that was more than an 8oz. Steak from Texas Roadhouse. Twice as much as a 1/2 pound of brisket slightly down the road at Bighams. A manager told me I was ordering wrong. I needed to order two 4oz fajita meat it was only $9 something. I said what? If I order a half pound, it's $23.99, but two 4oz is $9? She said yes, but it's only 6oz. After trying to explain 4x2=8, not 6, she came out with 2 small cups and said see 6 oz, 4x2 =6oz. I'm done. 7 weeks of this, and they want more at basically a fast food restaurant than a sit-down restaurant charges. All the food here is already made sitting in warming treys waiting for you to order, and it costs more than an actual restaurant where your food is made to order. Just don't even bother. There are many places to eat in this area, and any will be better than Rosa's food from a warming tray that costs more than a steak.

What a ripoff. I tried to order a pound of beef fajita meat on July 4th, and the employee tried to charge me $42.99. This is more than what several of their catering trays cost with way more meat, plus all the fixings. I have reached out to corporate twice, and they will not respond. That is ridiculous and flat-out robbery. Remember when this used to be a good place to eat. Not anymore. Go across the street to the plaza. It's not only better food, but they won't try to...

Went drive thru last night. I ordered the family fajita combo. Got home and had very few fajita meat. I called just to mention it to the Rosa’s team. The girl that answered said sorry in a rude way and hung up. I called a second time thinking maybe she accidentally hung up but they never answered. I called a third time and I heard a girl say it’s the same number as she laughed and she put the phone aside and never talked to me. She put the phone aside with me on the phone. She could have just heard my complaint and worked on preventing the same problem but decided to play games instead. So now I have left a message with Rosa’s Corporate office. Very Poor Customer Service when you’re not able to speak with the manager on shift due to employees that do not care about the company that pays them to represent good...

Typical line in the drive thru. Burrito Plate and Guacamole Salad pretty standard but had a good flavor and a lot of food. Refried beans were too runny. Guacamole had a little too much lemon in it. 3-20-24 Decided to try the breakfast tacos today and was disappointed. The bacon & egg had a very small portion of filling with only about 40% of the soft taco filled. The taste was way too salty. The steak fajita and egg had almost half again more filling and had a better taste but there was again too much salt. There are much better options out there for a quick breakfast.
