This place has the transplant from Austin vibe for sure, so I loved that. It was Kirby Lane and Magnolia Cafe on Congress at 2am all over again. That being said, the food and service left so much on the table. Our ticket time was ridiculous. It was well over 20 minutes before our complete order was served. The last thing to come out was the kids' French toast, which was not properly soaked and truly flavorless. It was like eating dry toast. I got a hashbrown, bacon, and eggs and subbed strawberry shortcake pancakes for my toast. The pancakes were both cold and tough. I did enjoy the hashbrown. I like that it's cut with a ring mold so it's a cake and then griddled, which makes for a crisp outside and nice interior....total win there. The eggs were just eggs. Good bacon. This is not a cheap breakfast place because everything is organic, cage free, sustainably grown, etc. All those labels that we pay more for. I'm interested to see how close to that they're staying with this being Lubbock and the complete unreliability of the food purveyors here. I'll give it another try on a slow day because maybe Saturday morning was too tall of an order right out of the gate. Cute place, great vibe, wasn't impressed by the food or service.

Not gone front the food here is the bomb. I really didn't want to go, I feel like all breakfast places are the same, Benny's, pancakes, tacos and omelets and all expensive, so I usually stick with wataburger. Had extra time decided to try this place and it was worth it. The food is so well made and good, the pancakes, the bacon, man the bacon I could eat a plate of it by itself. I had shrimp and grits and it was probably the best iv had, very well made. I did find an eggshell on one of my plates, wasn't a very big deal, management came and talked to us and apologized, if he knew I was with Google he probably would of given plate free, but I know the fast pace they work a few eggshells are probably bound to happen.. Overall the experience was really good, the server, the staff honestly have no complaints. It can get a bit crowded they do offer outside seating. It is loud in there the music was blasting so if you want a conversation speak loud and don't even try to make it a study spot. Highly recommend.

Listen, I just have to say that SUTTON- at the counter- is a phenomenal force! This beautiful soul went above and beyond and completely exceeded any expectations! I placed an uber order for a friend- I live all the way in Dallas, and Sutton truly created such a beautiful experience. I asked for a small favor of drawing a simple heart on a napkin for my friend to brighten up her day, AND WHEN I SAY THEY did the dang thing- they really did!! I was completely blown away by their service,—they were a delight on the phone— their dedication, and their compassionate creativity. This person is ROYALTY. I cannot wait to visit in person and thank them for being such a wonderful person. She even called me back to confirm that she was able to accommodate my request. See pictures below! Also, friend confirmed food was 10/10. P.S. (They/them) used for compassionate inclusivity.

Who wants the 🫖!!! Seated after a wait with no hostess at the hostess stand… waitress was prompt and friendly. I inquired about the loud music and if it could be turned down a little bit… waitress said she would ask the manager. Manager Chris appeared at our table and used his height and size to tower over our table, he stated he would not turn down the music but we could sit on the patio for another seating option…. IN JULY IN LUBBOCK TEXAS!!! We chose to sit inside, obviously… each patron that walked past us, I asked them if they felt the music was too loud..They agreed… I feel that Manager Chris probably uses his height and size to intimidate his staff. The kitchen service was extremely slow for the entire restaurant.. we could see food sitting in the window but not being delivered.we were approached by a different manager that our food would be out shortly cause it was cooked wrong from what we ordered. Once food arrived it was good. I would suggest to management to know your clientele. The restaurant was full of my middle aged people and middle aged families. Most of us work hard for our money, and when we choose to go and spend our hard earned money with loved ones, we would rather enjoy conversation than manager Chris’s choice of music at a deafening level. On our way out I asked the remaining patrons how they felt and they agreed music is extremely loud for a breakfast restaurant before 10 am.. others asked if the music could be turned down as well but I was the only one offered to sit...

We had a large group for a traveling sports team. Not only did we wait an hour, when we were finally sat, we were completely split up, separating us from our children. They sat all of the adolescent girls towards the back of the restaurant, by themselves, by the waiters stand. As we walked in there was a entire row of 5 or 6 tables by the window, which could have been pushed together to sit all of us together. One set of parents were outside, another at the bar with two sets at another table. The staff had already taken, waited and had food out to the able of girls before we even had our order placed. The creeps would lick their lips as they walked around the corner to wait on the girls. Very concerning, and predatory behavior was displayed. Two moms had ordered drinks. By the time they arrived the ice was on the top and melted, ruining it. The omelet I had ordered was cold, with the cheese being old and plastic-like glazed yellow as if it was made last week. Did not come with ANY cream, guac or any salsa whatsoever.

I was going to write it off, until I looked at my statement and saw they had ran a larger tip than I wrote! If I had kept the receipt (which I never do) id be initiating a charge back. Wife and my bill was 61. and change, totalling $70 to even it out. A $9 tip. 15% despite the awful service and behaviour. To find out they charged me $81.83! DESPICABLE.

Stay away from this...

I really didn’t want to give it two stars, the food was DELICIOUS; my friend and I ordered the protein omelette and the biscuits and gravy. Jason A. was our waiter and when we first got there he greeted us quickly and got us water but after that he never really came back to us. We decided to be different and order the matcha latte only for us to find out we didn’t like it, we made him aware (which I actually had to stop him because he did not come back to us once) and he grabbed our drinks and said he would take it off our bill but he was moving so fast we didn’t even get the chance to ask if we could get something else to drink, after that he never came back to us until we got our food (which was about a 30 minute wait). Once we got our food he only checked on us one time and then after I was done eating he started to take my completely empty plates away, but he took my friends plate with a full biscuit on there as she was eating. He didn’t ask her if she was done but just grabbed all of our stuff and quickly walked off. He never asked if he could take her plate away and just brought us our ticket. Once we paid out he didn’t say anything to us and just walked off. I don’t know why he was such in a rush for us to leave when it was just a party of two. As a waitress myself I would never just take plates away without even asking empty or not, nor act like a customer is...
