Sometimes good, one time not so good after 3 visits. Prices seemed high for the quality and quantity of what you get... but first two times were great.
Last time I went there was THE last time - 1 star. Very disappointed to get watery, rotten lettuce in my chicken bowl and a fruit label in my slaw... took pictures it was so sub-par compared to previous experiences. I intended to speak with management, but I don't ever want to return after getting sick for 2 days. Could be a coincidence, but not risking it. The smoothies were good, pretty sure they were made fresher ingredients.
I went in Sunday afternoon at 2:30. They gave me all these amazing coupons... that expired that day. It would have been nice to let me use one before I cashed out... or just didn't give them to me!
I hope you have a better experience, it seems it is dependent on the staff that day. Go with your gut!
If management reads this: I love the idea of healthier fast food options. The fresher the food, the higher the risk of sickness if your employees don't wash and handle food properly, much less identify lettuce that should be thrown out. Second trip there, I ordered a sandwich and a peanut butter smoothie without the banana. Was first in line, then a group of 4 kids, and 2 sets of couples. Waited 20 minutes for a sandwich and a drink. They all received their food and drinks before I did. One of the employees came to see what I was waiting on and I told him but wanted my money back at that point. I could make a sandwich and smoothie at home in 10 minutes. This was ridiculous! He gave me two 'free item' coupons for my trouble. I read them and they have to be signed by a manager to be valid... and guess what they are blank! I am so frustrated with this company by how slow they are. When getting my money back I noticed they had table markers with numbers!!! Why not use these for your customers?!?! Read moreToday tropical cafe has officially lost my business! I went back today even though they messed up my order last time. When it was my turn to order I told the lady that a few days ago I came and got a quesadilla and they didn't add the salsa dip like they were supposed to and it had no cheese just chicken. Her answer was that maybe the people working that day didn't know it was supposed to have it!!! She didn't try to fix there mistake or anything. Noted this is the second time this has happened to me in a months time.
