Thai Mango — Restaurant in Ludington

Thai Mango is one of those rare finds, a diamond in the rough of Western Michigan. I've been to scores of Thai food joints and Thai Mango is one of the most authentic I've ever sampled. I've eaten here more than a dozen times and was never disappointed. My favorites were panang curry, drunken noodles, fried rice, sticky mango, and a few others. The dishes taste like you have been dropped right into Southeast Asia. My understanding is the top chef is originally from Thailand or nearby (sorry if I have the wrong country). They will adjust the spice to suit your needs and, if you ask politely, even add a dash more fish sauce (I'm a big fan of the authentic stuff). Food was pretty decent for a place that is majority whites, definitely the best in town for asian cuisine. It's a food truck so it has limited seating, however the owner and her family (are thai if that matters) are clearly trying their best, so I highly advise to support this mom-and-pop. Drove all the way from Manistee only to find out they were closed. This was on a Wednesday at 5:30 pm, when their Google page said they were open until 7:00 pm. Horrible online communication from a small business. Waste of my time and energy. Never going here again. Make sure you call to confirm they are open...
