The Lake House - Premiere Wedding Venue — Attraction in Ludington

I cannot stop talking about my wedding, the venue, and how incredible Jeff and Jean are. It was the wedding of my dreams and The Lake House was nothing short of perfect.

In November of 2020, we visited for the first time during what can only be described as a gale. It was windy, rainy and cold. Jeff and Jean spent 2 hours with my (now) husband and our parents giving us a tour and discussing the many options and questions that we had. It was the only venue we looked at. We fell in love and booked it a few days later.

Fast forward to May 2022, we visit again and spend another few hours discussing the finer details of the wedding. Jeff and Jean were with us the whole time, we did a beer and wine tasting (and discovered our now favorite beer, Tangelo Dream). We loved that they brought in local beers and wines. They recommended many local restaurants and bars to recommend to our guests, as well as a location for our welcome party. They followed up on the smallest details with us afterwards that even I forgot.

Leading up to the wedding, Jean was quick to answer my texts, give her opinions on napkin color when I asked, and was very realistic with us about what we did and didn't need for our wedding. Jeff was also very prompt with floor plans, bar quotes and very accommodating to our bar requests.

Finally, the day of the wedding. We got ready offsite, but when we arrived at 2pm, preparations were in full swing. Jeff and Jean and their staff were getting set up, and were there the entire night. I have no idea if there were any issues, because they handled everything beautifully. Our guests also spoke very highly of the venue. We got so many compliments it was unreal. All in all, I could not have asked for a better venue to get married at. I cannot recommend The Lake House enough! Already looking for an excuse to have an event or convince people to get married there!

And let's be real, the view...

I had the best day ever! I’ll post professional photos when they do arrive. We got married 08.29.25 and everything was amazing! Our photographer Tiffany Leigh was outstanding she’s local and our cake and desserts were by Britters Twisted Whisk. They were fantastic as well! This venue is so beautiful, anyone who loves the water and sunsets this place is phenomenal for that. The beach and lighthouse are super close by so we ran there for some photos after the ceremony and got it all done within an hour! If you go through infinity entertainment they give you a great deal for an add on officiant 🩷 I didn’t know the music would be filtered so much so that’s a question you should definitely ask beforehand! ( I didn’t pick anything too crazy) there was a little misunderstanding with what decor was the venues and what was ours at the end of the night, but we truly tried to keep it as organized as possible, we apologize for that! But at the end of the day they all received back what was theirs and we got what was ours. If I could give any advice for the venue owners, is to just relax! If the timeline isn’t to a T it’s okay and the bride and groom just care about the family and enjoying the day with them! We had a very small wedding so I wasn’t too worried about time lines. We’re just very laid back people! Majority of our family flew in from down south or out of town so we were just happy to be surrounded by them. Overall we’re very happy and blessed to have had this beautiful spot for our wedding day. Jean and Jeff were very nice and really try to go out of their way to make sure it’s perfect for you!...

We can't say enough about how amazing Jean & Jeff are as people and hosts, and how perfect this wedding venue is, we can't stop talking and reminiscing about how absolutely perfect our day was! We were so blessed to get to work with these two incredible people throughout the past year, they made everything easy for us and went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. We've had so many friends and family members say how impressed they were with the venue and how gorgeous everything is, along with raving about Jean & Jeff as hosts and how kind and genuine they both are. We had our wedding in October so weather was a gamble, it turned out to be 35 degrees and raining sideways, but the venue offers so much beauty on the inside, and Jean & Jeff graciously made the swap to an indoor wedding the day of...it made it so that we didn't have a single worry about the weather and that we wouldn't have changed a thing. I could go on for hours about the venue and the two awesome people, but you get the point. I would recommend them 12 out of 10 times and we are so appreciative of everything they did to make out wedding...
