There were three of us that went for lunch. The food was less than mediocre with “meat” in the taco that was unrecognizable. Nothing was hot. Service left A LOT to be desired with items basically being “tossed” on the table. However, my biggest complaint has to do with my bill, which, admittedly, I didn’t look at until after I got home. I had an $8.00 tip charge (a little more than 50% of my tab!) even after I advised the cashier/owner I had left my tip on the table. There was also a service fee for having used my credit card. I was not advised of this fee, nor saw a posted sign for such. When I contacted the credit card company of the desire to protest this charge I was advised a resolution would be faster if I contacted the restaurant directly. Using the email address provided I advised the restaurant of my wish to have this rectified. That was a week ago and still no response, and their website says emails are answered within 48 hours. Needless to say, we will not return to...
Read moreI have no idea what just happened here lol and I ordered in Spanish since she spoke to me in Spanish first. So I ordered in her preferred language to make it easier and there was still a huge misunderstanding.
So I ordered the lunch enchiladas. I asked for refried beans instead of charro. She gave me 2 options for the enchilada filling: ground beef or cheese. I chose cheese. I was then served ground beef enchiladas topped with nacho cheese. No enchilada sauce. And for the side, refried beans AND charro beans and no rice. So I asked, does it not come with rice? She’s like “oh you wanted rice?” And brings me rice. As I’m eating, a gentlemen comes out the kitchen, grabs my charro beans, and gives it to someone in the table behind me. Luckily I hadn’t touched it but if I did, that would have been gross. THEN, when I got the bill, I was charged extra for the nacho cheese that I didn’t want. I just wanted a simple order of...
Read moreThe last time I ate here I think I was probably 10 years old, if that, dragged in over my protesting. I complained bitterly about the lack of Happy Meal toy at the time, but forgive me as I was just a dumb kid.
Now, some number of years that seems way too large later I returned and am I glad that I did. I'll start with the chips, they were exactly what tortilla chips should be, warm and fresh and with just the right amount of salt. The red sauce approaches perfection, it tastes fantastic and is thick enough that you can pile it up on the chips without worry about dribbling sauce everywhere as it travels to your chip-hole. Bonus, tasty, basic queso came out with the pre-ordering chips and salsa.
We had tostadas and spinach enchiladas, both were delicious as were the rice and beans on the side.
Service was great too, just an all around solid Mexican food experience and it didn't break the bank to get out the door....
