Best Tacos & Wings — Restaurant in Lumberton

Frequenting this taco & wing stand almost every day I have come to know the food well, the food is top notch quality ingredients no matter what you order, sometimes they use ingredients sparingly such as giving 3 ketchup packets for a whole serving of fries or even giving me street corn without seasoning, but they are a small local business so I understand. I have not come to know a single person's name, nor what their voice even sounds like because it is very obvious that they want you out of there as quick as possible so they can get back to their phones and/or regular tasks of their jobs. What they fail to realize is the relationship you build with your community goes a LONG way, I know if I had the money I'd franchise with them based off the food alone, but it's their apathetic attitude at the window that gives the wrong impression, just as lifeless and cold as the food is flavorful and hot. Not too pricey but if you are ACTUALLY hungry you're spending more than $10 easy just for yourself, they've hiked up prices as cost of licing is going up and minimum wage fails to follow, so I understand. Also from reading the reviews I understand there are customer loyalty discounts, this has never been introduced to me and I'm willing to bet I'm their most frequent customer, so do with that...

Pulled up to the place at about 3pm, no line. 8 piece BBQ wings came out hot and fresh. Fried and coated in a delicious BBQ with a kick to it... these wings were something else. They're larger than the ones you're gonna get at Lil Ceasars down the road or the wing company across town... and you're not gonna get filled up on breading like you do trying to get thru kfc's BBQ wings. That sweet heat barbecue is tempered a little by the small cup of ranch they give you, but it's enough to cover the almost even amount of flats and drums you get in your order. I wasn't expecting much from this place when I was driving by it because I hardly ever see a line there, but seriously give it a shot. It's my new secret grub spot here in Lumberton from now on, no more waiting in line for disappointing tacos across the street or chicken wings that ain't hittin the spot.. do better, your tastebuds...

I’ve been a customer of Best Wings and Tacos for a while now, but unfortunately, the food quality has noticeably declined over the past few months. It seems like there’s been a change in staff, and ever since then, the wings and tacos just haven’t been the same. The flavors that used to make this spot a go-to favorite are missing, and the quality feels rushed or inconsistent.

That said, the beverages are still great—consistent, refreshing, and a highlight of the visit. I’m hoping management can take a closer look at what’s changed in the kitchen and bring the food back to the level it once was. Until then, I’ll probably be stopping by...
