Captain D's — Restaurant in Lumberton

Thank YOU!!! I have been traveling a lot and stopped to grab a hotel bc I was super tired and hungry. I ordered online, it was ALL so fresh!HOT, my Baked pot was baked to perfection, my entire order was correct down to the sauces and reaallly really, could not have been anymore perfect. I arrived, drove to drive-thru, was cheerfully welcomed and asked if she could help in anyway let her know, I said I did onine.The young lady was so kind, professional and sincere. After her second cheerful greeting upon arriving at the window, she handed me a VERY BIG BAG. I could already tell A LOT of care had been taken to place it together for right when I arrived. She also had commented how she placed the few sauces I had requested in their as well. Not to worry. LOL I was even more impressed when I arrived at the hotel soo ready to eat and sleep. One of my HUGE things, is when "to go" is all thrown together, however My one thing is cold items with cold, hot with hot. it was just the most wonderful experience I have had anywhere in a long time. I also know they hand bread the catfish in the BOH, plus make their sides. I was so excited to see they have changed from the other sauces they were using before. I scored this location with 5 stars yesterday but did not have the chance to provide a review because I was running short of time.

When we decided to visit this location, we had just left another event and we're trying to find a restaurant that was still open (it was approaching 9:30pm). We have always enjoyed Captain D's seafood and we grew up with a location in my family's hometown of Danville, VA. Unfortunately, that location closed and we moved to NC, at which time we found out our closest Captain D's was in Greensboro, NC.

That's not convenient at all when you live outside of Fayetteville, NC like we do.

Anyway, I digress. We found this Lumberton location and were happy we were able to get there in time to order. The very kind woman who helped us at the drive-thru made sure we were taken care of and the food was piping hot when we got it; everything was cooked perfectly!

All of our selections were delicious and we were grateful they had not already shut down the fryers considering the late hour. We appreciated the hospitality considering the fact a lot of places would have just told us they were closed at that time of night.

We will definitely be coming back to this location the next time we're in the Lumberton area! I hope we will have enough time to dine in so we can try a few other choices from the...

Staff member refused to change order! Food wasn't very good - not fresh and very oily. Long wait time. My senior mother and I ordered at the drive-thru. When we pulled up, a flyer was taped to the window advertising a reduced price option for seniors. I asked the nice lady at the window to change the order to that option. A different lady came to the window and very rudely told me I couldn't change my order at the window because it would cause too much work for them to correct it on their computer. I explained that I didn't know that was an option until I saw the flyer. This woman, Mary, then argued with me about it. She flat out refused to change the order (just over $38; it would have saved me around $4). I told her she she was being rude and she didn't seem to care, still refusing to chafe the order. So, I pulled away without our food. I then pulled into a parking spot and placed our order online. The senior discount wasn't on the app, but I was able to order the same food for just under $20!
