If I could give them 100 stars I would! Best place in Lumberton and dare I say, Southeast Texas. I've lived in Austin for years, and I have high standards for food. From the amazing pizza, the delicious Greek salad (I always add the gyro meat), great gyros, the standout wings, the low prices and good portions, the quality ingredients.... our family can't get enough! Pretty much any time we don't cook at home... we are picking up some Eddies. I'd like to add that people sometimes complain about the owner's "attitude"... it's clear he isn't from Southeast Texas and doesn't have our manner-filled culture. Guess what... this isn't a catfish joint with mom and pop! This is Eddies and he makes damn good Greek food. He's not overly enthusiastic but is appreciative of the business, literally is working EVERY time I go so he's probably tired... it's my little girls favorite restaurant and he is always kind to her and shows his appreciation for our business. We keep going back and dropped the expectation he needs to...
Read moreAfter reading other reviews and driving by several times in and out of Lumberton, I decided to try the pizza at Eddies Gyro and Pizza yesterday, and I am so glad I did. I ordered a supreme pizza (a small because the hubby is out of town, so it's all I needed), and it was delicious! The crust was crunchy and chewy, had a nice bite to it, wasn't too thick or too thin, held the toppings very well, which by the way I think they put every topping in the restaurant on my pizza! All the veggies were fresh and chunky just how I like, the meat was big and flavorful and they did not skimp on the cheese at all either, plus it wasn't overly saucy which can cause a soggy pizza. I will definitely be going back for more! The menu looks amazing, and I also love a good Gyro so that's next on the list! Give them a try, you will not be...
Read moreSo I’m from chicago and it’s the heart of the gyros. I know a good gyro. I’ve been eating them since I was a small kid. Well the meat is from chicago so needless to say I loved the gyro & tzatziki sauce was really delicious as well. BUT… the fries are absolutely terrible. This is the 2nd time I’ve had Eddie’s. The first time they were over cooked so I based my opinion on that figured I’d give them another shot, well the fries weren’t over cooked this time but they were still terrible. The fries take the shine out the meal cuz who doesn’t like good fries at least decent with their meal? Also, the owner could use to be a little nicer and more friendly a think cracking a smile couldn’t kill him. I’ll be back ONCE in a while when I’m TRULY craving a gyro and can’t...
