Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lumberton

Hey, I don't know what to rate in terms of stars... Three seamed appropriate since it was half good and half bad. But "liked it" seemed too much. The food was really great. Hot, crispy, fresh and delicious. I got a two piece meal spice and a classic chicken sandwich. The bad part was the service. It literally took 35 minutes and there were only 2 cars ahead of me in the drive through. When I finally got to the window my food was on the counter along with the food for the car behind me. The young lady at the register took 5 minutes, literally 5 minutes to get around to taking my money,counting it at a glacial pace, turning around looking at the bags and then back at the order then asking me what I got then back at the bag. Then she got a napkin and put it in and then another and then another, then some plastic ware and some ketchup, all at a comically slow pace. She finally handed me the food and closed the window so I knocked and asked for my drink and she looked around found it and 5 minutes later I was on my way. 5 minutes and my food was ready when I pulled up. The woman who was in front of me in the drive through line had to wait 20 minutes. She was only handed 1 bag and two drinks so it wasn't a very big order. So yeah the food was great, but it was the worst popeyes experience I've ever had. Honestly it was the worst drive through experience I have ever had...

Typical Popeyes. Staff is lazy and playing around at work instead of actually working. Popeyes has a reputation for having trash employees, so I don’t know why I’m wasting my time writing this.

Showed up 30+ mins before closing. Sat at the speaker for several mins, occasionally saying “hello” in case anyone decided to work this evening. I finally went to the window and continued to wait. A woman came around asking what I needed. I said I’d been waiting for a while back at the speaker and no one acknowledged me, and that I just wanted to place an order.

She walks away and a guy comes to the window and says they aren’t taking any orders. They have 2 doordash orders and that’s it for the night.

I confirmed their closing time (which was still 20 mins in the future) and he didn’t seem to understand that this meant that they should be taking orders until closing.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve worked in any type of retail customer service job, but if I ran the place, these people would be out of a job. If you’re being paid to work, then work. If you don’t want to work, why are you there except to steal wages from Popeyes?

Again… this is a company culture issue. Popeyes absolutely endorsed this type of behavior. If it wasn’t true, there wouldn’t be such a popular stereotype of...

I have no idea how this place stays open! If I could give them zero stars I would. I have traveled all over the United States, this is by far the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to. I wouldn't go here again if someone paid me. The service was horrible. So unprofessional. It took about 45 mins with an empty restaurant and one waiting in the drive thru to get 2 fries, 2 teas, chicken sandwich, chicken strip, mashed potatoes and pop shrimp. It took another 50 minutes to get the chicken strips they didn't have in my original order. It was by far absolutely ridiculous. I wasted about 2 hrs at the restaurant listening to kids cussing, and yelling about this and that instead of working. When I got my chicken it was raw and I was out of patience. The big order of shrimp was about a handful. The tea didn't really taste like tea. There was ice in the cup though it still wasn't cold. Nothing in our order was the right amount. The truck waiting in the drive thru when I first started waiting got their order right before I did. They waited over an hour and 30 minutes. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever. It was such a waste of money. They need to clean this restaurant, hire all new employees and pay attention to these reviews. Put up...
