On Feb 8th my family and I had a gathering and decided that we would order the Breakfast Feast from Crackle Barrel on Main Street in Duncan SC. We ended up having to call in because the on line portal would not accept an order. Julie was the carry-out representative for this day and she must have been having a bad day. She was clearing annoyed from the ring of the phone because the conversation was very unprofessional, disrespectful and plain rude because I had questions about the order I was trying to place. Had the on-line portal been working properly I would not had to endure the sheer displeasurement of speaking with Julie. Maybe if she KNEW how to assistant with an on line order the encounter would have been different. Her response was when she was informed that the system was not working she says I can only tell you what my manager told me to tell you. Not I am unfamiliar with how the on-line systems works but I will be able to assit you with your order via phone. As I begin to ask questions the altitude and the annoyance of me asking questions was somehow not her problem. It seemes she just wanted me to order and get off of the phone. The Breakfast Feast family meal to feed 10 people and she stated that the total would be $108.00. I then asked how much was just the 20 pancakes that amount was $52.00. I felt that was a bit high for just pancakes and dealing with all the unprofessional behavior but I went ahead and placed the order for the pancakes. She hung up with not a thank you sorry for any inconvenience. At that point I was frustrated 😠 so then I called back to cancel the order based on pure principal that I wanted to spend money in your establishment and this is your job and you treat people in this way. I refuse to spend my hard earned money where it is not appreciated. She answered the phone for the second time when I canceled the order she was more annoyed "Really all those pancakes " and hung up the phone. Did not even occur to HER to try and change my mind or ask the reason why. Shameful behavior this location needs to examine customer service skills. "YES ALL those pancakes was my thought". Suggestion invest in some customer service training and shame on the management for not recognizing that this person clearly does not need to be dealing with customers via phone or...
Read moreI feel as though I was cheated a little bit on the prices. I bought a heat and serve cornbread dressing, macaroni and cheese, broccoli and cheese casserole, (each served 8 to 10 people) and a chocolate pecan pie. The total came to $133 and some change. I asked for four cornbread muffins and four biscuits and sat there for 12 minutes and the reason I had to sit there so long is because one of the girls from the back came out and said I hadn't paid for them yet and I said well I bought $133 worth of food I thought four little cornbreads and four little biscuits wouldn't be a big deal but I just went ahead and paid for them anyway. So my total then came to about $140 bucks. This special that was going on came with a whole ham macaroni and cheese cornbread dressing mashed potatoes green beans I think I'm missing one more veggie, Apple streusel pie a pecan pie and rolls for $179.99. all the sides on this Thanksgiving heating serve dinner were to feed 8 to 10 people, like the sides I purchased. I was exhausted from all this Thanksgiving shopping so I didn't even ask the manager about anything but I feel a little bit slighted about what I had to pay versus what I received when they had that deal going on. Two of the items that I bought were literally on the special. Then on top of that I had to pay for it four pieces of cornbread and four biscuits. I feel as though if I did not get the entire meal I should have received some sort of discount or I should have been able to pay the 30 more bucks and received a mashed potato and green beans and the ham and rolls that was supposed to come with the Thanksgiving dinner to make things right. We've done cracker barrel for the past 7 years and this time I feel like I was not done right and I feel like I'm not coming back. We haven't just done it on holidays we eat at cracker barrel breakfast lunch and dinner at times. Sorry for missing punctuations. It's Thanksgiving day and I am literally using my iPhone Siri to type this message for me, while I'm...
Read moreI have to start out by saying that I am really tired of giving negative reviews, but I am sorry you just have to earn a good one and they are getting more fewer and far between. My experience at Cracker Barrel was just ok. My eggs weren't the best and I wish the sausage wasn't hickory smoked, unless maybe that's what you ordered. Also I was with my best friend and her eggs had to be sent back because they were too done and you could barely tell there was any cheese in them even though she ordered them with cheese and she didn't like the hickory smoked bacon either. Also for all our waitress knew my friend was the 1 paying for everything and or leaving the tip, but because I am white and my best friend is of color, our waitress practically ignored her the whole time, and seemed to focus on me, just saying that's how we felt, and her whole ora was just very OFF and even though she came back to check on us often, she was NOT very nice or friendly and it was like it was killing her, so that's why she wasn't left a tip! I'm sure she WASN'T very happy with us and that's ok, You know, me and my friend weren't either with our experience!! We absolutely love the country store and shop in it as often as we can, but unless it is just to shop, we won't be back because this is by far not the 1st time our experience at Cracker Barrel was NOTWR the best for some reason or another. Though we did keep giving them a try numerous times over the summer up until last week. We're paying waaayy too much for food anymore to AT LEAST not be walking out MORE satisfied than not!! And sorry but today a lot of the younger ones don't know what good customer service is and they don't even seem to care either, one...
