Prince's Parlor — Restaurant in Lynchburg, Moore County

This place was recommended to us by some staff at the Jack Daniels Distillery. They highly recommended saving room after lunch for the JD Whisky Raisin milk shake, add in the chocolate whisky sauce.

We got the milk shake, it was $8, very rich, quite tasty, it was a cash only establishment. I thought $8 was a lot for a milk shake.

Due to the rich factor, and the fact that we had finished lunch prior to consuming, we ended up pitching half of it, as we were hitting the road and didn't figure it would last in the cup holder very well.

I wouldn't say this is a "must do" kind of thing, but they have many flavors of ice cream, they make and serve pizza as well (which we didn't try), and it seemed nice that this establishment offered something...

This is the perfect stop for food and refreshment in the heart of historic Lynchburg. We enjoyed great burgers and ice cream, and the staff happily brewed a fresh pot of coffee even though we were the only ones there. We enjoyed chatting with the very friendly staff. Went in to order a chocolate malt, didn't notice the cash only sign until halfway into it being prepared. I stopped the gentleman, but he just asked how much I had, (which was no where near enough) and said "that's how much it costs today".
