The Glass House — Restaurant in Lynchburg

The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the aesthetic of the atmosphere is charming. Definitely a cool vibe to hang out at. However, when it comes to the overly priced and fancy named food on the menu…it’s a miss. The crab cake sticks definitely had a frozen food type of taste. The bruschetta olive sauce (or whatever you want to call it) tastes like VA Beach ocean water, and the thinly sliced steak (can’t remember the fancy name for it) was cooked poorly. Now again, if you’re wanting a cool spot to sit at for a drink then cool. Outside of that, don’t waste your money. Because if you do decide to venture out and choose options from their small menu selection, and then not like what has been presented to you, you’ll be questioned by their so called manager Heather who clearly has no experience in providing any type of solid...

This is the second visit this year to the Glass House. During the first visit we had dinner. It was good but way over my budget. Tonight we went to have drinks and listen to the band. The band was excellent. The friend I was with had two drinks and her bill was almost $40. I had one beer and it was $10.00. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice but they won't stay in business if they continue to charge this much for food and drinks. Before the "renovations" the outside area was inviting and affordable but now I'm not sure if I can afford to go here. The Rose' Thursday is just not the same as it was several years ago. I like the Glass House but it is not affordable to middle...

Excellent place to find a great evening of live music from blues to rock and everything in-between. I've even seen a Zydeco band band there once. Great times and good service. Very polite and kind staff. Open and relaxing atmosphere. You can dance to the music inside or sit and enjoy the downtown nightlife outside in the courtyard with music playing in the background . Excellent for weddings and receptions as well. Perfect venue all around for weddings, fashion shows, reunions and anniversaries. I have seen many different events going on there and been to several different types myself. Always been a great venue...
