This is 1 of 3 jack-in-the-boxes in the Edmonds Lynnwood area. unfortunately it is the only fast food restaurant that it is open 24 hours in the area. So you're not given a lot of options when it comes to be 3:00 a.m. and you're starving. Unfortunately my recommendation is to stop at the nearby QFC or Safeway a buy a frozen dinner p r pizza or somethiing... it's just not worth spending your hard earned money at any of these 3 jack-in-the-boxes. Never ever (normally I don't talk in absolutes) but never ever has my order been correct. I'm not just talking about maybe it had a tad to much mayo or not enough pickle. I'm talking about finding a Fundamentally unedible Burger being completely and totally wrong. When you tell them you're allergic to onions and you get your Burger after waiting in line for 45 minutes. No joke the last time I went I waited in line for 45 minutes ( And you are complete a trapped in their drive-through because there are concrete Barriers on both sides of your car at the Jack in the Box on 196th street in Lynnwood.... So you and everybody in line that have been waiting 45 minutes are extremely frustrated and then to be handed $30 worth of food in 2 different bags filled to the brim so The bag rips as they're handing it out through the window, And you have to did all away to the bottom and look at everything item. Pray. Finally you locate your Burger and realize it's not only flat/ Smushed but ins absolutely swimming in onions... Now I acknowledge onions are a hard allergy for people to understand its a hard one just to fix yourself so the other Frustrated people in line are so angry that they are screaming obscenity's at and there and please for taking so long, so you pull out of line and check your order.... so yes you could just say screw it and go on your merry way telling yourself I'll just scrape them off but if you truly are Allergic to an item especially onion... even light onions are a problem... you will soon realize that the oils from the onions steep in to not only the Burger but the bun so removing onions will do you no good you will still end up getting sick. The last time I went to this jack-in-a-box the person taking money (oh yeah taking your money the without gloves or even washing their hands scoop your fries, pour your drink... touch sour cream and many other food items. actually argued with me about not being able to count (ordered 6 tacos and got 4 and she said there's 2 in each package. I calmly Explained to her that yes 2 came in each package but I only got 2 packages. She basically called me a liar and refused to give me the 2 tacos that I have paid for which would equal about a $1.67 total cost...... The teller then proceeded to literally stomped her feet where I was talking to her then slammed the window returning I'm not giving you 10 minutes later with my 2 missing dagos shoving them in my hands and said here and slammed the window again. It's just not worth it I am...
Read moreSuper disappointed with this location. Normally I love JITB and their offerings; however, this particular location is terrible. Every time we've gone to get food here there is a problem with the order. Either the speaker is too quiet or the person taking the order doesn't really know what they're doing or they just don't care. In addition to ordering issues, whoever they have in charge of inventory and making sure they don't run out of ingredients and such is doing a terrible job.
The last 2-3 times myself or my husband have been to this location they are out of something. This last time, they were out of regular fries... How is that possible!? Then, to make matters worse, instead of just subbing the fries for curly as that was all they had to use for the combo meals, they were actually going to charge us for the curly fry upgrade! What a rip off! Then they conveniently forgot to give us our receipt so we couldn't verify what we were being charged for because that didn't add up either.
The food is rarely "fresh" and I don't think the employees are properly trained here, if at all, or they don't care about required hold times and when to toss out the old and make it fresh so the customer gets better quality when ordering; or as good as you can when it comes to fast food I suppose.
Today, the chicken strips (which definitely appear to have been changed to the gross looking/textured processed chicken like the nuggets) were not only just warm, not hot and fresh but held too long, they were also covered in oil and the box they were packaged and served in was also covered in oil. I even took a picture to prove how much oil was just sitting in the bottom of the box. Great job on draining there!
I've had it with this location and have put in a lengthy complaint to corporate about it. Hopefully they listen and do something about it. I think the best thing that can happen to this location is to fire all employees (managers and higher-ups too) and start all over and make sure everyone knows how to do their jobs and actually cares about what they do, not just their paychecks.
I was at drive thru about 840 pm tonight, wed, 1/10/23 pm. Raining, traffic noise, speaker voice was very low, I couldn't hear cashier properly. I went to window and said couldn't hear you. He said NO you go back again use speaker this is our policy. I said i can't hear there. Lady came to window and said go to speaker, both were rude and guy was laughing too. I said I am not going to speaker. I asked her name and she closed the window rudely. I parked there and called police. Other cars behind me reversing in extremely small place and I saw the guy telling them we are closed. Police came to window and talked to them and said he wants to order his food. She said ok. They gave me food and I left around 920pm (40 min there total) Both persons ego was at the level that they didn't care about me and other customers. They were not losing any money and reputation but Jack in the box did. I am from South Asia and they were Mexicans I think. If they had to give me food infront of police why not without police.
If instead of me some violent customers there who don't care about laws then cashiers jeopardize the safety of other customers too ?? I request you to see the video. If it was your policy send me policy papers. I will complain to BBB and corporation too........
