Mariscos Nayarit — Restaurant in Lynwood

As in all my review's, you’ll need to take it with a grin of salt. We all have different taste buds and expectations. Since we are always on the look out for the next delicious dish, we, my partner and I expect good food that is equal to the price. So we ordered a jaiva (crab) tostada $5 , mixta tostada shrimp and octopus 🐙 $13.75 and the pescado zarandeado (grilled fish) $37. So not worth it, will not be returning. The jaiva (crab meat) was as dry as a desert 🌵 and just as bland. They take a spoonful of diced onions, tomatoes and cilantro throw on the bottom of the tostada and add the cheapest crab meat you can get on top. No lemon, no salt nothing to flavor it just a bit. The shrimp and octopus tostada was seriously a joke. I think I counted 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp and about the same for the octopus. You would think I’d get a bit more for the price but no 🎲. The octopus to me tasted like it came from the freezer precooked , hard and flavorless. Once again bland, no lemon or salt. Finally, the one item that we were here for, the grilled fish. First off we only got 75% of a fish. The top half of one side was in someone else’s stomach/dish. So about $9 worth someone else got to eat. Recently, I had a business meeting and I invite one of my colleague. I was referred to this great venue. So I ask my colleague to join me for a good afternoon brunch. As we arrived, I were very disappointed after waiting for over 45 min. To be seated while management had no control over other costumers over taking space (tables) while all waiting in line to be seated. As a consumer, I address my concern to the manager regarding this Issues. Finally after 45 min of waiting we were called for a table and to add Insult to Injury we were seated for approximately another 15 min. With no response from waiters or anyone. THE people that was standing behind waiting. Where seated and where being served already. Basically the manager and his employees ignore us, for purpose of me speaking out. My colleague and I just walked out, DISAPPOINTED and DISGUSTED the way they treat there customers. With No REGARDS OR NO RESPECT. JUST BECAUSE I HAD A VOICE.. I will not come to this establishment again. We as consumers have the right to speak out. People need to stop being ignorant and understand, that person of any race has right to speak out and be heard. Ya no estamos...

I'm giving it a 3 star the food was great but the customer service on the other hand could use a bit of an improvement they use an outdated menu (Xerox paper copy) with certain food prices once you get the bill and it a bit more they try to say "it's the taxes" "oh no it because the prices went up on food". I get it inflation but guess what reprint your menus to prevent any misleading prices to your guests and then the waiter says take it up with the owner once I tried the waiter says "you know what I'll put in the $2 dollars your trying to dispute out of my pocket" that's insulting, nooooo it's not about the $2 dollars its about the ethics of the business toward the consumer if there is a posted price they should respect it OR simply reprint their Xerox copies menu it not like it's an expensive menu to reprint.
