I want to give them more stars because the food is amazing, but the last few times I've gone my experience has gotten progressively worse. In the future I will only order take out.
Last night our waitress was very nice but clearly overwhelmed by the amount of tables she had to serve. We sat unattended for long stretches of time. We received 1 refill on our drinks, but only after finding the waitress and flagging her down. Our food was great but half of our order was forgotten (a to-go order) and was only put in to the kitchen when we said we'd take our bill and a box when our orders came.
A couple came in while we were here and were seated without silverware. The gentleman tried to get the host to get it for him, but he was ignored, he eventually got it himself.
The last time we came we stood at the desk for several minutes and were never acknowledged or seated, we ended up walking out. We were the only ones waiting for a table at that time.
The time before that everything was again delicious but the service was terrible and we were not given any silverware. I have a relative who eats lunch there and he's had his credit card number grabbed and used too- but he didn't say anything to them because he loves the food so much.
Bottom line, the food and atmosphere are wonderful but they need to step up their game and start paying better attention to...
Read moreThis smallish restaurant with attached bar is in s strip mall so there's adequate parking. I was enthusiastically referred to Casa D'Angelo by a local who goes often, and based on my visit I concur. Wonderful service, from greeter to wait staff. Casual, but not too casual. Friendly, but not too friendly. Food ready quickly. Extensive menu with something for everyone. Fried portabello app was delicious, tender inside with perfect delicate spices and two dipping sauce. Waitress also brought bread (soft, fresh) and butter. Chicken dish I had (I can't remember the name!) was phenomenal! It came with choice of a side and consisted of breaded, fried chicken piled high with tons of fresh spinach, ricotta, tomatoes, topped with artichoke hearts and melted cheese, over a bed of tomato-flavored cream sauce. The asparagus side had lots of yummy butter and was pretty good, though the asparagus was just a bit over the hill. Waitress kept water filled and checked back on us several times. But even better than the food is the atmosphere at Casa D'Angelo. This feels like a family restaurant that's been operated by generations of the family. News articles on the wall and - best if all - huge wedding photos of 5 members going back to 1918 reinforce...
Read moreWe dined at this restaurant last night. Our server was fantastic, friendly and attentive. We arrived a little late around 8:00pm and it seems most of the previous diners were gone. There was one couple not far from our table who were loud, boisterous and dropping words that should not be heard in a restaurant, especially when there were young children who heard it all. Their server, not ours, seemed to accept this trash and even giggled several times in speaking to these patrons while they were almost screaming. In addition, we were finishing up our dinner when the chairs were put on top of the empty tables, who put this as part of closing duties when there are diners still there. Then came out the broom and shovel to clean up the floor. This was totally unacceptable. I understand that staff wants to go home but you can't wait until your diners have left?? Most of my party enjoyed their food, I ordered the eggplant parmesan, it was served on a very small plate, 5 pieces of eggplant and tons and tons of cheese, this was not what you want to serve. I will not be back cause I just don't know what to expect. We dropped over $300 dollars, and no one at the door to say thanks and have a good evening....
