El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Macon

Worst. Service. Ever. We ordered Margaritas and it took 20 minutes to get those. I also asked for some salt (4 times to be exact) and guacamole to go with the chips. Never received salt (I had to get it from another table). Guacamole came about 30 minutes later.. I received my steak and shrimp(only 3) fajitas without silverware, (corn) tortillas, and the toppings that go with it. By the time my tortillas came out, the meat wasn't even warm anymore and they gave me flour instead of corn tortillas. I had to ask another server to get my server because he hadn't been out to check on us. When he did arrive, I told him why I was upset and he didn't even apologize. He did offer to get me corn tortillas and I said no, but I would like some kind of a discount off my tab. He returned a few minutes later and set our check on the table and said there was nothing he could do, but to talk to someone when we paid our tab up front and walked away. As a server myself that is not how to handle things. I will never go there again and definitely wouldn't recommend it. Oh, and my husband told them how displeased he was and still did nothing and we paid full price for a very unsatisfied...

We just left. Our waitress tonight was a young black girl,and she was very friendly young girl.You could tell she was new but we really liked her..as me n a friend were going outside to smoke , we were finished eating.as we were walking outside the mgr was calling the young girl he had a receipt n was saying they left tip but did not pay for food.She came outside looking for a young white man n a. Young woman.they weren't out there ..she ask us did we see them n we told her no , and we were parked in handicapped.i ask her would she have to pay n she said I'm not.i guess they told her when she came in she would have to pay.We feel like it was not her fault nor her respnsibilty to make sure the customers pay.whoever the cashier is at the counter between the entrance door n the exit door is responsible.we eat here sometimes once a wk n I've said before that it's not a good idea to not have somebody at the counter at all times.For some reason they have a problem keeping help.if they make this young lady pay for their mistake I will sure think twice bout. Eating there...

I posted this on the Forsyth location Sunday. This is the location I visited during the week for lunch. I ordered a lunch that was regular and nothing memorable in taste at all! My friend ordered a grilled shrimp burrito and it was a disgusting NO!🤮. Who puts refried beans inside a grilled shrimp burrito! The menu describes the beans will be on the side.

We got seated and no one came to take our order for 15 minutes! As we sat after eating, we noticed other parties that came in after us were seated, greeted, and had their orders taken immediately. It was our first and last time dining at El Sombrero. To think, they were voted the #1 Mexican restaurant in Middle Georgia. I guess they have a lot of relatives and cousins! The food is disgusting! The chips were okay. Although I’m not sure I trust them. I saw a waitress remove a full basket from a table that had finished eating and got a refill. It looks like she didn’t throw them out.
