On Friday March 17, 2023, my husband and I decided to have a late breakfast around 11:15 am after I had some fasting X-rays at my doctors office. While I (we) absolutely love your food, my husband was reluctant to dine at this location because their service has always been extremely slow. Our server was Angel and she was very sweet. We gave our drink and food order when she 1st arrived to our table. Our coffee arrived within about 10 minutes but our entree took forever. We both only ordered pancakes. I had the strawberry cheesecake & my husband ordered the blueberry pancakes. Other than this, we didnāt order anything else. Thenā¦.by the time we got our order, my husband noticed that the table directly behind us, with four (4) guests, who were actually seated after usā¦they were all served their meals, which they had already eaten most of the meals. Thenā¦as our order was being sat in front of us. Please note that it was approximately 8-10 minutes when that table had been seated after us. Our servers name is Angel and the table behind us had another server. Although Angel seem to be sweet and kind, she was extremely SLOW. Which is what we typically encounter at this restaurant i the past. Then, after I drank about 3/4 cup of my coffee, unfortunately; I noticed that my cup was dirty. My husband and I understand that when a restaurant is crowded, there is only so much a server can provide. At the end of our meal, we continued to ātryā and get Angels attention for our bill, it took over 10 minutes for her to actual bring it over. A few minutes minutes prior to this, we stopped another server and we ask if she could find our server for our check.
The reason I say this, is because we love your food, youāre location is great and we empathize your pains with the 2020-2022 COVID restrictions, but itās 2023 and we believe that your restaurant deserves a better selection of qualified staff members. Itās totally un-expectable to have to wait so long and literally āaskā for your bill. And PLEASE PLEASE trust me when I tell you this l, but as respectful humans, we will not complain at the time of our meal (because we donāt want to be given free food or discounts right that minute for complaining, especially in front of your other patrons. And I personally donāt like to write down any complaints or concerns until a few days after. This way, my (our) concerns are not personal and I can relay my (our) anger/concerns with a genuine heart instead of speaking out of anger. We also realize that āoneā complaint will not make or break this resturant but sometimes it ātakes a villageā in offering corrective criticism to our local merchants. Even with our local restaurant's! Even though we live just outside of Macon, when we travel throughout the United States and other countries, we always feel safe and comfortable knowing that the Ihop brand is ALWAYS a good choice.
I (we) also have to empathize with the āfood industryā because we know that in todays environment, its hard to get personable and efficient restaurant employees that will give the resturant (or any other type of business), that you deserve. In any country or on any continent outside the USA, we know that the taste of foods (even with the same brand restaurants,) will often cause the foods to vary. Having to do with the eggs, meat, water & ect, will differ according to their geographical location. We have only traveled to 4 different continents and visited a few Ihop restaurants there and enjoyed them as well. Iām not saying this to boost about our travels but my husband is an International Project Manager for a large company so he has to visit his customers all over the globe. While we are NOT rich, I am able to travel with him on some of his trips. Otherwise, we save up for special Anniversaries and milestone birthdays, and travel to other countries & taste their foods. We are NOT food critics, nor travel experts but we know the difference between good & bad. We just want to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe experience was terrible ! The waitress was terrible she was disrespectful ! I literally walked in with good intentions and when I was greeted with the saddest and depressing hello. I just got off work not too long ago after working a long shift and wanted to eat with my friend while he was on his break from his overnight job. I asked her a simple question about how much a short stack would be alone and she answered. I was on the phone with my friend to figure out what all did I need to order from him. I then asked for a menu to see all of my options. The cook or whoever came up to me asking if I was under the influence and WHO ASKS A TIRED CUSTOMER IF THEY ARE HIGH?!?! I felt as if that was disrespectful and rude. I remained to keep my composer because let I remind you, I just got off work and I was just wanting some food to eat. I then asked him to tell her I was ready to order. Next, as I was trying to place the order she kept making these faces as if she did not understand me at all. I tried to explain to her like 10 times what I wanted and she still acted as if I did not know what I was talking about. I stayed respectful and polite. I spent $30 for two split decisions 1) with two sides of bacon instead of sausage and bacon 2) TWO SIDES OF THE SMOKED SAUSAGE INSTEAD OF THE SAUSAGE ABD BACON AND a THREE STACK instead I paid for the complete opposite and charged me extra smoked sausage and at that time I was too frustrated to explain let alone talk to her some more. If it couldnāt be done the way I wanted it a simple side note without an attitude would have been nice. Then, I waited and a good friend of mine walked in. We talked for a while and I will admit, my voice did get louder, but I did not disrupt the customers before my friend. They acted as if they were under the influence. She then brought me the food praying that it is correct. My friend and I left and when we got back to his job SHE FORGOT the SHORT STACK!!! So we walk back in there, sheās talking about my friend and I to THE SAME CUSTOMERS THAT WERE THERE RIGHT AFTER ME AND BEFORE MY FRIEND. Talking about there was nothing wrong with two split decisions and laughing thinking I didnāt hear anything she said. I got loud and said, āUM excuse me maāam we are missing our short stack of pancakes and she rolled her eyes and left to go to the back. I then pulled out the receipts off from the side of the register and it clearly said where I ordered the stack and she still was acting as if I was slow. She then cane around the corner and said THEY WILL BE READY SOON AND HES MAKING THEMšš.... few minutes later She came back up here with the pancakes just acting like she didnāt want to give them to me I CLEARLY SAID THANK YOU MAAM AND SHE TURNED AROUND SAYING MHM AND WALKED AWAY! OH AND THATS NOT EVEN THE BEST PART!!!! I WAS EATING AND THERE WAS HAIR IN MY EGGS!!!! Well, now long story short I wasted $30 on some food that was taken by the rudest waitress at IHOP and a hair in my food... I understand If tonight was a slow night, but there was nothing called for being disrespectful. I know exactly who she is and can give descriptions on both of the employees! I NEVER HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS LOCATION UNTIL TONIGHT AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE I RECEIVED TONIGHT ! I felt so out of place by not leaving a tip or show some sort of positive praise and tonight was the night! I know their faces and what they wore. Unfortunately, I was not able to catch their names....

A loud-mouthed and aggressive female server, resembling Maw Kettle (Marjorie Maine) of old-timer television programs--possibly she goes by the name or such as Lorraine, etc.; descended upon us (my husband and I), starting off with her suggestions of spicy pumpkin pancakes and/or beverages. She raved loudly and forcibly while giving us this menu pitch. But when I chose the mocha cream pancakes instead, this buxom female server got louder with her nasty voice as though I had done something illegal. She railed at me, saying I was going to be "jacked, go crazy and climb the walls, be looney and all hyped-up!" I told her being "jacked" was inappropriate.
But I held my ground, insisted on my order of mocha cream pancakes and coffee. She kept mouthing back, saying something in effect that I would go out of my mind and go absolutely NUTS!!! Then I told her I was not scared of anybody. Then she yelled back at me and said she was not scared of anyone either when she left to put in our orders.
Then returning back, as though as she had to drive down a few more points on her agenda-from-Hell, she demanded to know how was everything--"wasn't it delicious, etc.?" When I said "of course," she got all loud and rowdy again and leaned down on our table, gripping both edges of the table as she began on another rant of intimidation. She said she was caring... and I interjected with "professional." No, she didn't like the way I said that because I am thinking she will need representation from Attorney Franklin Hogue for her criminal charges of harassment. Tired of her persistent rampage, I told her: "GO ON!!!" Quite relieved from her overbearing presence, she left! Thank God!
IHOP, think about the people you've interviewed and employed--some go completely "under the radar" and act like sadists with customers, trying to...
