The Juicy Crab — Restaurant in Macon

Its been about a year since my husband and I last visited. Honestly, this wasnt my 1st choice because of the last dining experience. I gave it another chance praying for a better experience in both food and service. We arrived on Sat 1/5 around 6:30pm. It was nearly empty. It took 5 mins for an employee to greet us at the door. (Strike #1) Once seated, it took another 10 mins for our female server to arrive at our table with no welcoming greeting. She only asked, "would you like anything to drink?". Being immediately annoyed by her lack of mannerisms, we contemplated leaving. (Strike#2) The server left and returned 10 mins later with our drinks.(Long Island Ice Tea-$15 each). She didnt ask if we were ready to order after dropping off our drinks. Instead, she went to the couple's booth sitting behind us and asked them if they were ready to order. They arrived after us. I got the server's attention and told her that we were waiting for a while to order. We both got the Hungry Feast $36 (my husband's favorite). Please note: Due to the shrinkflation, the portion size has decreased. The shrimp are alot smaller, the sausage was sliced thin, and I was missing 1 1/2 legs on my crab cluster. (I forgot to take a picture). There was a time where you could share or have leftovers. Not anymore. The plus side is that the flavor was still the same and good. Even though there wasnt much in the bag, I shared with my husband so that he could get a good fill. We may return, but this location would be the last option. I was so excited for Juicy Crab to come to Macon Ga. I have visited every one in Atlanta and have loved them all. I have never had a bad experience until tonight. We arrived at 6pm and was seated promptly. Our orders were taken. After 30 minutes, I asked if we could at least get our drinks? After asking 2 more times,15 minutes later our appetizers arrived...still no drinks. Over the next 10 minutes, we asked 3 more times for them. We finally got drinks 1 hour 10 minutes after being seated at 7:13pm. Our food arrived at 8:10 but! No silverware, gloves, etc. I asked 5 times. Our food was cold before we got anything, we actually stopped another waitress who finally saw our situation. All the trash and dishes from the appetizers was Never removed from our table. There were 5 of us celebrating birthdays. To make matters worst, one entree, fried catfish was raw and was sitting in a puddle of oil. When the waitress brought our checks, I asked for the manager. Katie came over. I detailed our entire experience and ended with the raw fish swimming in oil. She looked at the fish and told the waitress to make another one...we have been there 2 hours and are waiting on our checks...when I asked what about all the other issues??? She turned and walked away. No apology, No excuse, Nothing. As we left, we ran into Jay outside, she said she was also management. At about 4:30pm EST an 12/3/2023 at the Macon GA location on Tim Hill, the server on duty decided it was a good idea to hand me a scalding hot metal plate with me being a disabled one handed customer. The manager on duty was a con-women who tried to dismiss the physics of hot food transferring energy into a metal plate as HEAT! Then tried to overcharge me on the meal, even getting the raw oysters out late; they had an old smell to them as well. To also insult me further, we were charged not only full price but were getting overcharged for the black mussels. I never had these issues in Atlanta, Raleigh NC, or any restaurant in this country that hands a hot plate to me as a disabled patron. May your company know interesting times ~ Chinese Curse. We did not even eat the Oysters over the fact they had an olfactory offense to them as such hinting of bacteria. I think I will drive the Warner Robins for seafood....Oh and a few hours later I got food poisoning and guess where was the only place I went to eat.......
