I’m not the type of person to write a bad review, but I would not recommend anyone eat here until they improve their service. I have been here a number of times in the past under the previous management and this was a completely different experience.
We waited over 20 minutes after being seated to have our presence acknowledged by the waitress. After ordering our drinks, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to come out after asking another member of the staff on the progress of our drinks. I ordered a Dark and Stormy to drink, which tasted like they mixed it with lemonade (instead of Ginger beer) and it had a bug in it. It took over an hour for the salads to come out. The salads were overdressed. They did not have any bread to bring out. Instead of just telling us they didn’t have bread, the manager lied and told us that it was in the oven. Despite being hungry, we didn’t dare think of ordering an appetizer with the long wait thinking that might add even more time to our food coming out. The waitress rarely checked on us and it took about 3 attempts to get our water glasses refilled. She did not actually fill the entire party’s glasses either, but instead stopped half way through and didn’t bother to come back. The manager then lied to us saying that our food was being plated and it was a longer wait again for the food. The table next to us had a similar experience and they left before getting their food. We contemplated ordering pizza to the restaurant because we were so hungry.
This might be acceptable if the prices were not high here. On the other hand, I was able to compose the entirety of this review up until here while waiting on our food.
The steaks were good, but still overpriced for the quality even if the service was better. The pasta was inedible. The pasta had the consistency of rubber and was over peppered. The food ended up taking over 2 hours after we placed the order. I understand they might have been busy and understaffed tonight, but no one remotely seemed concerned on our experience. There was no attempt to apologize for the food taking so long. I would look to other expensive restaurants if you’re looking for a nice...
Read moreFine dining, understandably and generally, has a slower pace than most dining establishments, but when the quality of the food is compromised; then, what's the point? The restaurant was not aware of our plans, but our party of eight had a show to attend at eight o'clock. We were all seated by 6:08; our entrees did not hit the table until 7:25. Even with good conversation, this was too long. Various complaints around the table consisted of the appetizers not being hot. Lobster bisque is a soup and it should be hot. It was served, at best, room temperature and had to be sent back. My wife was served water with a fly in it. (Replace, of course, but come on!) At just after six, our group was the only table occupied for the first hour, so you would think that when we asked for dinner to be quickened (due to our plans), that the pace could have been picked up. That didn't happen and yet when the entrees were served, they were, at best, room temperature. I ordered the filet Oscar and the beef was tough, the potatoes were just over cold, and the asparagus was cold. This was the same for another friend in our group who ordered the same thing. I will say that the 5 oz. filet that was ordered by one in our group was pretty good, as was his wife's ribeye, but the sides were still room temp. Had we not been in a hurry to leave for the show, I'm sure several plates would have been sent back and the manager would have been requested. This, I'm sure, would have made the time for dining even longer and we had already been there for over an hour and forty minutes (not a problem, if we were just eating). Very slow service and room temperature food is not much to rave about. Fine dining should have a "Wow" factor, but when I can personally cook better, it's not...
Read moreThe Tic Toc Room is supposed to be an up scale restaurant, however, last night I left very disappointed. We had a reservation for 8:30 and we got there about 5 minutes later and we still had to wait for another 10 min for them to set a table up. After they moved us to the table, we waited for about 20 minutes and no one came to introduce themselves as our server. Finally, we asked the front lady twice if we can have someone to take our orders. After another 10 minutes someone finally took our orders. Their excuse was that they did not have enough staff that night when it was problaby only 4 tables with people and a big party upstairs on a Saturday night. The food was alright. I was not very impressed with their menu as there was a short selection, it was very expensive, and was not presented well on the plate. I will not...
