This hotel is beautiful and the room very nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and apologetic about some negative situations that we experienced. We were even comped one night's stay for our trouble, without asking for it. We had some issues with our stay that caused us worry on a weekend trip that we wanted to enjoy. We were in town for a football game at Mercer. We reserved our room two months in advance. We arrived at the hotel to check in on Friday in the afternoon only to find out their computer system could not check us in due to a "glitch" with the system. The desk clerk assured us that her manager would straighten out our reservation the following day. That night we decided to eat in their dining room. The meal and service were great. Then, a few minutes after returning to our room we received a phone call from the front desk that they could not charge our dinner to our room because the hotel's computer system did not recognize our hotel stay reservation. I went downstairs to the dining room to give them my credit card to pay for our dinner. The next morning, Saturday, we returned to our room after breakfast to find our electronic keys to our room no longer worked. We had to return to the front desk to have our electronic keys reprogrammed. Then, just before we were to leave our room to go to the football game, we received a knock on our door from a hotel employee. The employee told us that management told her to see if anyone was still in our room. I told this employee that we had reservations for Friday AND Saturday nights. It then dawned on me that the hotel may have double booked our room. We proceeded to go to the front desk to tell them that yes, we were indeed in the room, and would be returning to spend our second night in the hotel. I expressed to the front desk clerk that I feared they may have double booked our room, and it was then that she admitted they had. I told her that we needed to be assured our room would be secure for the day and that no one else would be given access to our room. She assured me that this would be the case and she even gave us new electronic keys to our room. As promised no one else entered our room, nor was our room given away to other guests, but this mix-up caused us to be annoyed and stressed. Another service that was lacking was their car valet service. The valet service is a contractor hired by Marriott. They are not employees of Marriott. The first night the electronic link the valet service provided worked fine. We were able to request our car in advance on the link that was provided. For the rest of the weekend that was not the case. Every time after that, for the entirety of the weekend, the link failed to allow us to request our car in advance. Instead the link kept trying to finalize our parking transactions as if we had checked out of the hotel. Also, on Sunday morning, after we checked out of the hotel, and after my husband paid for the parking and left a tip online, the valet attendant did not input into the system that we had picked up our car for the final time. Instead the valet company kept asking us to finalize our account and pay for our parking even after we had done so. A few other things to note about our stay. Every time the toilet in our room was flushed it made an extremely loud noise - like a freight train. On Saturday night, in our room, we could hear the loud music and feel the vibration of the music's bass from their 6th floor roof-top bar. Also, the elevator bell on our floor was extremely loud. The doors to the guest rooms also closed with...

Pros: |We visited the Hotel Forty Five in April 2025 when we were in town to attend a concert at the Macon City Auditorium. The location is perfect for anyone attending events there, as it is right across the street. There are also some good local restaurants nearby within walking distance, so the location is really nice. The hotel has a lot of charm and I would surely pick this over most any hotel in the area for this fact alone. ||The staff at the counter was first rate. Check in was quick and the parking attendant was kind and helpful.||The rooms were also great. Due to the unique set up of being an old office building, our room had windows on two sides and a very nice modern walk-in shower with huge bathroom space (which also with a window). I truly loved the rooms and the fact that we had just 8 rooms on a floor (i think ?). Any way, its tall but not a very big hotel. Very comfortable and cozy.||Semi Con:|The rooftop bar was also a nice perk. Great set up and I was planning to have good meal and my fare share of drinks after the show, but the bar which closed at 11, stopped serving food at 10 just as I arrived. The male bartender acted like i was a fool to expect food ----- but come on ---- they didnt have nuts or chips or anything to munch on. Probably not a great idea when serving booze. And sorry but at $15 per drink, I expect something I can buy to snack on. So based on this, I just bought one beer and called it a night. ||Con: |And this leads to my only other negative comment. The hotel had no 'Cantina' in the lobby, and no snack machines in the entire hotel ??? So when the restaurant closes, and you get hungry after 10pm.... guess your have to get in your car or order out. This was just odd decision making by the hotel. Really unusual. ||At the end of the day I would surely stay here again. Its a really nice hotel. But next time ill pack my own snacks and/or make plans to...

Pros: Tia Cummings at the front desk was helpful beginning to end. Very friendly and helpful. She even went the extra mile and tracked down my problem with charges after I got very frustrated with ....well, see cons. The room was very nice and a beautiful view of the city. The roof top bar good as well.

Cons: They have valet parking which is nice until you want your car. You have to go through a long process on your smart phone including having a code texted to you and completing a form with all of your information, which by the way THEY HAVE because you're a guest. You can not just call and request your car. The valet phone number answers says "how can I help you?" and immediately disconnects. Went down to the restaurant for breakfast Sunday morning and even though the hours list them as open, they were not. So we went to the coffee shop at the hotel. Short staffed, took forever and they messed up one of our orders. But it was delicious (eventually). If you can't do stairs, you have to walk outside and around to the coffee shop. Not good when it is raining, it is not a covered walk. Both the hold charges and actual charges showed on my credit card and took 4 days to resolve it's self. When I called to ask about all the charges, I was told that I needed to speak to food and beverage and was transferred to an employee that has not worked there in the past 3 months. After leaving him 3 messages over 2 days he finally called me to say he is no longer there. I called back and asked for the corporate manager of food and beverage as the old employee suggested I do. He was in a meeting but Tia Cummings called me back and got the charge details, researched, called me back quickly and resolved the problem.

In summary, very nice hotel, conveniently located BUT they apparently need...
