The atmosphere was great but when I got to the bar,I noticed that the bartender would completely skip over me,and only waiting on the white customers,once he was done o had to signal to him that I wanted a drink, although I had been waiting with my money in hand to let him know I'd like a drink. When I asked him was everything ok his response was, " I'm trying to make all the money i can" as I was placing my order he walked away to other white customers and proceeded to take their order then returning back to me asking me " oh what was it you wanted" I ordered my friends drink and then I left. I was there Saturday night to see the Selwyn Birchwood band. The band is phenomenal, high energy and great blues!!! The place had a good crowd, friendly service and nice outdoor patio in back. I had a situation where a drunk customer started to touch me, I asked him TWICE not to and then I located an awesome employee who I explained the situation to and within one minute the security guard took this man out of the bar!! I was impressed by the speed of which they responded. The Hummingbird is a fun local place, I drove from Atlanta to see the band!! I would gladly return! I love the atmosphere. It seems like a great place to hang out but it’s not great that when I came in I got dirty looks and had to wait about 15 minutes while the bartender finished up there conversation. Makes me feel like I shouldn’t come back. Also the bartender didn’t pour the Guinness Right I got a low pour and zero head also the beer tastes very sour like it’s gone bad or it’s flat. I was going to order a whiskey sour with egg whites I was told we don’t have that.
