You will find cheaper beer at ANY other bar or restaurant within walking distance. Beer here is x3 more expensive, food x2 more expensive and you’ll receive smaller than normal portion sizes.
They advertise “liquor” but if you ask to see a bottle it will only be 23% “wine based” with no allergy warnings listed on the menu. They will attempt to upsell you on their new “premium liquor” which is also only 23%. Bartenders are encouraged to upsell the premium vodka as the “same recipe as Tito’s”…. however, the manufacturer and proof may say differently. Have you ever wonder why they only serve shots of fireball and southern comfort? They are also not 40% but a new lower proof version at 23%, you are being ripped off!
Have you been drinking here for a while and all of a sudden your regular drink tastes different? Chances are the ice machine is broken again and you are drinking hard ice bagged from 7/11 up the road.
How did this establishment get so many great reviews you may ask??? Bar tenders are financially compensated when they convince a customer to leave a good review. It won’t be hard to find the real reviews through the fake ones on the internet. However, you will find the owner getting drunk in the bar every night but never once leaving a tip for her own bartenders.
At least the bar is dog friendly! So dog friendly you can often catch the owner walking her own dog in and out of the kitchen (wearing flip flops not closed toed shoes) during the day as she gets her cooler ready for the beach.
Additionally, the owner requires mandatory work events but instead of having her employees clock in to receive a wage, are compensated with pizza and beer to scrub the floors, while she watches and gossips about the people she dislikes.
This establishment is fully ran off shady business practices and owned by a woman who I could never in good conscious support again. Only come here if you feel the need to over pay for drinks, food, and enjoy small portion sizes.

Read moreI will say if you are from Kansas City and want to bask in a beachy/ sporty atmosphere this place is kind of a must. The food is actually very good, a decent beer selection and the service was fine. The motif is pure Florida mixed with dozens of tributes to the glory of Kansas City, and a Chief's flag flies proudly in the beach breeze. Downsides are that the music, while good, was a bit loud for such a small place; the parking during season is problematic,; AND the prices are (as usual at a pace that caters highly to tourists) a bit high for bar food and drink. On a pet-peevish note, apparently the owners are entirely interested in keeping their KC patrons/tourists happy, and (probably inadvertently) and show something close to contempt for us rubes who actually live in the local community. I scoured the walls, full of sports memorabilia, for the smallest acknowledgement of the existence of a single local sports team, but nada. Clearly, the ownership does not know or care that the Bucs, Lightning, or Rays exist, and that a decent amount of their patrons actually live in the area. Obliviously disrespectful, if you ask me. Imagine a sports bar in KC without any (even polite) reference to the Chiefs or Royals. It wouldn't last a week. But this is Tampa Bay, where locals love to support non-local teams and then marvel at the lack of a local fan base. Anyway, rant over. It's not a bad place at all, especially if you...
Read moreOur first time in and we ordered chips and salsa for appetizer $6, Turkey avocado and cheddar sandwich with a side garden salad $12, and seared ahi tuna tacos on romaine leafs with side of chips and salsa $13.50. Everything was soooo good. I don’t usually like salads but I’m trying to reduce my carb intake when I can and this salad with a balsamic vinaigrette was really good. The lettuce was fresh and not full of the white stalks that I really hate. Tomatoes were chopped(I don’t usually eat tomato’s on a salad), pickled onions, shavings of cheese. Every bit of it was really good. The Turkey avocado and cheddar sandwich was also very tasty. The ahi tacos were very tasty especially with the wasabi aoli. The chips and salsa were really good too. The salsa wasn’t chunky and had a perfect flavor, not overly spicy. Our only complaint was the low amount of salsa. This is a very small restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor seating. 8 tables inside and an 8 seat bar inside but the bar also faces the covered porch and the restaurant is open air and there is good airflow throughout. Our server was Violet and she was friendly and charming. We recommend a visit to the Lucky...
