Stopped by for dinner 7/24/2024 around 6pm. Wasn't busy when 3 of us came in. We were seated with menus and waited about 5 minutes before anyone came back to give us water and take orders. Ended up ordering right away. Everyone ordered their 1 drink and meal. One coworker ordered chips/dip and chicharrones as appetizers to snack on. We got all our food after waiting about 10-15 minutes but the appetizers never came out. We had to ask about them. They offered to bring them out still which was a bit late since we had our meals already. My coworker asked for the chicharrones still as he wanted to see how they tasted. They brought them out eventually and they were super salty. About 15 minutes passed and we all finished our drinks and dinner. No one came around to ask if we were done or if we needed our checks. I had to walk to the bar to get someone's attention as they kept seating people and serving others in the restaurant. Honestly, they seemed a bit understaffed which I can understand the service will be a little delayed but the server passed us up many times and never thought to ask if we needed to pay our tab or needed boxes. I got a sizzling steak fajita and it definitely needed more seasoning. Was pretty flavorless in my opinion. $28 before tip for 1 miller lite and the meal. Not worth it for me personally. Will probably not be returning when back in...
Read moreI went with my friend yesterday and everything was off to a good start. My friend decided to try their burrito challenge. Rules of said challenge:
Eat a 3 pound burrito in 12 minutes or less and it's free with a t shirt prize.
Pay 34.99 upon failure of challenge.
Pretty simply put and straightforward. That is, until they bring a massive burrito out that at first glance looked way bigger than 3 pounds. My friend gave it his best shot and finished almost half of said massive burrito. He failed and paid the thirty five bucks for the challenge in good spirit even though we were both skeptical about the actual weight of the burrito. We stayed a while longer and I decided to play the gambling machine. The bartender was looking over my shoulder and watching my bets the whole time. Didn't make me feel real comfortable...
Upon leaving the joint, we decided to go to planet fitness and weigh the leftover portion of the burrito that we were allowed to take out. The remaining portion was over three and a half pounds! More than what they claim it to be originally and my friend are nearly half! Tsk tsk.
Needless to say, I won't be going back. The couple times I had been there before I had an excellent time. Sucks to find out the place...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I’ve had. Below is just a highlight.
Waiter messed up our drinks. I ordered a strawberry mojito, wife ordered a Paloma but a Margarita was brought instead.
Waiter brought us the wrong food. Ordered (6) total tacos. (1) Pulpo Al Pastor, (2) Big Sur, (1) Hot Cheeto and (1) Mahi Mahi. Instead he brought us (2) Pulpo Al Pastor, (2) Big Sur, (1) Hot Cheeto, (1) Wabo Cali and (2) Mystery meat tacos. We let him know and he said “Oh I’m sorry.. those are good tacos though”
Tacos themselves were underwhelming. Big Sur tacos had flavorless meat. Pulpo Al Pastor (Octopus was overcooked and was lacking the pineapple salsa. Instead they put a habanero salsa on it), Hot Cheese taco was so wet it fell apart while picking it up. The other selections, were undesirable. I’m unsure how they cook their protein but it was all chewy, overcooked and bland.
Service was bad, bad. The waiter not once asked us if we needed additional drinks and for whatever reason would not provide us our bill. Instead I had to request it from the bar itself (after waiting 25 minutes for him to return)
I would not recommend this place for multiple reasons. Plenty of better...
