Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Madison

This place was horrible, went Sunday Dec. 30th at 5pm. Place was maybe half packed. Took 8 minutes for someone to finally say they were our server then another 8 for drinks. We never saw our server again till she brought out the cheese fries that she forgot to put in. Let it be noted that the food came out nice and hot. Although the sour cream and the sauce requested when ordering was forgotten. Had to get up and find someone to get that for us. LaTasha, I think her name was, practically ignored us the entire time. She took an order, took 8 minutes for a coke and tea, spent most of her time chilling in the kitchen eating and drinking. She didn't deliver the app, didn't deliver food. Didn't check on food. Told the person that delivered food about the forgotten item and sauces. After 12 minutes we finally get the cheese fries and as LaTasha sits them down she gives us no time to say anything saying it's hot and kept on going. Again she took off to kitchen and started eating and drinking. Never looking our way cause we can dead see straight up in the kitchen. After 15 minutes of getting the nachos plate with no sour cream and the burger that was suppose to come with a specific sauce and having to get up to get it. Which by then most of the food had been eaten. So after another 30 or so minutes without her coming to table she finally comes out with the check. We spend another 20 minutes because we wanted to see just how long it took her to come back over. This place is run horribly, most of servers we observed just hung out in the kitchen eating and chatting. Never saw anyone that even might resemble a manager. Group of 20 received horrible service. Waiter Shay showed poor customer service. The group called ahead & was told table would be ready at 630. Group arrives & they tell them they don't accept phone reservations & 1 hr wait! No mam a worker said 630 after checking with her manager! OK so they weren't happy about it & waited. They confirmed a table of 20 via text to be ready by 735. They sat down at 735. I left when they were seated. Well they were split up. 8 on one side of restaurant & 12 on the other side. Group of 12 was assigned Shay as their waiter. Rude rude rude. She had an attitude from start. It was around 830 when the group stopped another waiter for help because they didn't have their food yet. Shay hadn't even been back to the table to check for refills. The manager comes over & basically accused them of just getting there saying they weren't there long. Since 735 are you kidding me?!! Then she just walked off. Shay came and said 20 minutes on the food. Wait?! They were there since 735. The group of 8 received their food & had eaten by the time the group of 12 received theirs. To make it worse the manager gives 6 of them one brownie treat as an apology and the other 6 one cookie with the ice cream. Are you serious??!!! Totally unacceptable!! I had another similar experience years ago with a group. Idk if Shay didn't want to serve a large group or she had to work a double but her behavior was unacceptable. The manager's response was unprofessional & unacceptable. If they can't handle groups then they need to turn them away. We arrived at 11:30am we stood in the front waiting to be seated for 20 minutes .noone showed up as we waited other parties were coming in behind us . A waitress comes and finally seats us ..we were the first to be seated and the last ones to get our food ,service was slow my children food came out first by the time the children were done 40 minutes later our food came along with the appetizers my appetizers was cold .i expressed dissatisfaction to the manager .by the way he looked and acted as if he didnt care and shortly after no one came to check on us EVERYONE at our table we needed refills,napkins utensils, to go boxes for the cold food .I had to ask other waitresses to get the things I needed and all of them had bad attitudes including my waitress. I waited for my ticket for another 30 minutes I finally gather the managers attention again to ask did the card machine started back working because we still haven't gotten a receipt and I explain again how dissatisfied I was he apologized and took the appetizer off and he too had a attitude I advised he I would be calling corporate..4 tables were served before us and we sat down before them we were ignored.
