I genuinely stopped coming to this Starbucks after the service I’ve received. Unfortunately, this is the only place serving hot food in the area that is opened before 6am, besides McDonald’s. As a former barista, I think I have a pretty good idea of how the job is supposed to work. However, if my old shift manager saw how this place was run, she would have a panic attack. The individuals that work there are extremely slow, do not get started on mobile orders until you arrive. This is at 6am. I’d pull up to the window, and instead of working they are messing around. I could understand if they were busy, but there is genuinely no one in line when I would come. 1/3 of the time the drink is made incorrectly, with baristas taking shortcuts. Like I said, I could justify it if it was busy, but there is no one in line 95% of the time. Typically when you make a shaken iced espresso, you pull the shots and then place it into the shaker. Then, you are meant to give it 10-20 vigorous shakes. The individuals who work at this location, rather, place the espresso in the cup with ice, swirl it around, and hand it off. Furthermore, what really set me off, was when one of the baristas kept referring to me, a grown woman, as “friend”. This was in the context of telling me not to order 4 long shots if I wanted anything extra, for it fills the cup. The amount of times I have made the same exact drink for myself as a barista, for other customers, is uncountable. The only way this would not be possible is if the barista did not put enough ice in the shaker, did not shake said shaker enough, or poured it directly into the cup. I explained this to the worker, and I appreciated her trying to rectify this with me by saying they could remake it, but I had to go, for I work at 5:30 in the morning. This location needs stronger leads — (aka Stephanie) and re-training in customer connection. There is never an instance a barista should be calling a customer, “friend”, in the context I was...
Read moreHorrible service!!!! I usually don't write poor reviews but the experience at this Starbucks was beyond bad.First the coffee and latte were not made per order. Not a big deal....the sugar was omitted and the latte did have cinnamon. We decided to just add the sugar ourselves and skip the cinnamon. Well, this is when things went south....we couldn't get stir sticks to add the sugar that was omitted from our coffees. We had to wait in line for sugar packets and a different line for stir sticks. When we got the attention of one of the baristas for the stir sticks, we told her that we still hadn't recieved our pumpkin bread and blueberry muffin. She asked, "did you check these bags?" while pointing to the pickup counter. We replied, yes it isn't here. She said, "just wait ...it will come". After waiting a reasonable amount of time, we walked down to the pastry/baked goods case. There was a young man standing behind the counter, talking to a group of friends. I waited a few minutes hoping he would assist me. He then reached into a drawer, pulled out a pastry and threw it over the counter to a friend. Immediately, his other friends started laughing and one said "come on throw me one! At that time I went to the cashier and told her we still didn't receive our baked goods. She was understandably annoyed because she had to go through the bags, find our order and fill it while the young man was still goofing off with his friends. We left the store got in our car and I looked at my starbucks app and the money I added to my account was not there. I closed the app, waited 10 minutes and reopened the app....still nothing. I had to go back in and the cashier said, " I can't do anything. It can take a few days to show up. If not you'll have to call corporate." I have never had a problem with adding money to my starbucks account. Not a good way to...
Read moreAlways extremely busy. I've had a girl that works there, Jessica, that made my drink incorrectly...Walk away from me while I was talking with her about my drink. Also, if you order 4 drinks. You may receive the 1st one, and wait 5 min. for the next, a few more minutes for the next and 5 min. for the last one. While they do all the drinks that came in behind you before all your drinks are done. It's super frustrating, expecially when you are purchasing frappachinos to take else where and the 1st drink was for the person a half hour away. It will literally be 45 min. and completely liquid prior to that person getting it. However, they will pile up orders made online in front of you and nobody is even there to get them. I guess in my opinion, that is the way to order. Drinks are done right away, ready and paid for when you arrive. Just walk in and grab them, even if there are lines and lines of people. The only negative I can see to that is if you have something different or special done with your drink and can't explain exactly what you would like in an online order. Otherwise, they charge completely too much for drinks. Oh and it used to be you could get a salted caramel mocha anytime and if it was out of season (because Starbucks can't find sea salt anywhere on Earth) you just drank it minus the sea salt. Now if you order a salted caramel mocha, it costs extra for Carmel!! So not only are they saving themselves the salt, they are charging $1.10 extra for carmel in a salted caramel mocha. Way to go Starbucks! Another way to squeeze money out of people who otherwise did not have...
