Toppers Pizza — Restaurant in Madison

Mixed Emotions on this place as Friday Jan 7 3:30pm I ordered pizza and they were absolutely perfect. Fresh full of toppings and just down rite good, then we in turn ordered the same exact pizza Sunday Jan 9 at 1:30 and there was no cheese on it no bacon on it just a thick crust with some burnt tomato paste that you can’t even chew because the crust was so thick it literally has like 10 tiny pieces of bacon bits scattered on it. Ever who cooked that pizza needs to go into training and be thought by the cook from Friday. I feel like I just threw 35$ In the trash cause that is literally where the pizza went, in the garbage. It will be a long long long time before we go back, as the help well they were not even to know I was in the store the first five mins because they were in the back of the store instead of making sure the customer was taken care of. I wouldn’t even have gave this pizza away regardless of making someone pay for this. I have one piece that don’t even fit in this pizza if you look at the picks it’s shorter than the rest of the pieces lol. Do not order for delivery! My friends and I ordered pizza for delivery and it took over two hours and wasn’t delivered. Over an hour after placing the order it still had not come so we called and they said the driver was on his way and would arrive in 10-15 minutes. 25 minutes later the driver still was not there so we called again and got the same answer…Then we were put on hold and the next person explained that they use DoorDash for delivery and no drivers had come to pick it up even though we pre-tipped. The order was converted to a pick up order and I went to get it. The people at the store were nice and comped the order but we were told twice the pizza was on the way when it was sitting at the store. If we had known the situation with the drivers we would picked it up but they lied to us and said it was on the way. 2 hours later…i got our pizza. Normally wouldn’t complain because the people at the allocation were reasonable but super annoyed that Toppers gave us wrong information twice. If we had just waited like they told us to do, would they have ever...

Delivery time is fine, however the quality of their food is very...poor. My wings were pretty old. With the crunchy and stale meat and all. I ordered a thin crust pepperoni pizza, and it honestly looks like they threw the pizza into in the box. What I means is that slices were on top of each other and quite a few were flipped over. I had made a pretty late order, so I added a note that I would tip handsomely since the driver would be getting back to the store past closing time. My subtotal was around $20, I tipped $10. The delivery guy looked a tad annoyed too, which is completely understandable for a late order, but he could've hid it better.

The thing with this place is that you either get really bad quality, or slightly below average. Nothing higher than that. I use them as a LAST RESORT for when I'm hungry past midnight. But this is the last time. The price just doesn't match the quality...
