Ted's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Madison

Not sure what the hype is & I certainly don't think it's great BBQ. I liked the beans, that was it. Even the iced tea was meh. I had a pork sandwich & something tasted rather burnt. The girl who took my order asked if I wanted mild or spicy sauce - I asked how spicy the sauce was - she said it was t too hot, but she liked the mild better, so I said ok, I'll go with mild. Then I'm eating my sandwich and thinking it's dry. There was no sauce on the table. I suffered through it and as I was leaving, I saw a table with all the sauces on it - like you grab a bottle on the way to your table,... Wish I'd known that was there before I sat down, but why did she ask which day e I wanted, if they weren't going to put it in my dang sandwich?? Plus, I'm a brisket girl & they only have it on Wednesdays. They didn't have any homemade cheddar biscuits either & I was there at like 11am. Hoping to get actually good BBQ during this trip - will have to try somewhere else....

This was our first visit to a Ted's Bar-B-Q and I'm not sure we'll be back. My wife and I were visiting the Huntsville area to help our daughter move and stopped there for lunch between activities. We found the service rather unfriendly, both the cashier and the other staff we encountered. No smiles or friendly nods, the casher rather business-like; the server who brought the food out rather gruff when I asked her a question; and another just pointed when I asked where the BBQ sauce could be found, like maybe I was stupid for asking (it was near the window where the food is brought out, but around the corner so not readily visible). My wife said her pulled pork sandwich was very good. I had the chicken and can only say it was okay. It was a little dry, so I doused it with plenty of sauce. Very very disappointed. Service is terrible. Walked in and the lady taking orders had no personality, rude, never said anything, did NOT feel welcome at all. After she brought half out food out she and another proceeded to walk out of the restaurant with no care. The food was very bland when it finally came out. No sauce, hard buns and food was cold when it came out. We had 6 people and 6 orders, 4 orders came out. And we didn’t get the other half of our order until a scene was made and something was said 10 minutes after everyone else got their food. Who I assume was the manager made us our food after standing there with no one asking us if we needed anything. As we were leaving we saw cockroaches inside the restaurant.
