Los Arcos — Restaurant in Madison

We got there and it started off completely fine. We ordered cheese dip, ate chips, and were thoroughly excited to eat. A few minutes after we sat down, one of the staff came and basically threw a basket off chips on top of the chips we were literally in the middle of eating. Then it took around 15 minutes just for the cheese dip to come out. After that, only 3 of us got our food while the other just sat and waited. When the food was handed out, they tell you not to touch the plate because it’s so hot, but the way the server sat it down made it uncomfortable to try to reach the food, so we just had to bare the heat. Our food was extremely greasy and we even had a cheese quesadilla that came out undercooked. It was all hard to eat. We didn’t get our drinks re-filled and we weren’t really checked on or apologized to for the poor food and service. When we went to pay, we payed with card and cash. The girl charged the wrong amount to the card and then made us have to pay even more with cash. To highlight it all, their counter had guacamole all over it and we got our hands dirty. We went to the bathroom to wash it off where the soap dispenser barely had any real soap, just mostly watery soap. This place used to be great, but it seems that everything went wrong...

Had dinner with some family at this restaurant yesterday and had the worst experience. Not only was our food disgusting we got the most simple things i would say off the menu (2 chicken and rices, and a singular chicken quesadilla) plus we had 2 orders of sweet tea, and margarita with a large side of cheese dip. Not only was our bill with 3 meals on it $85? which the quesadilla wasn't a meal it was ordered by itself. the large queso alone was $16! and when we asked about why it was so expensive since the menu has a different price for the large queso, they told us the charged up for chips and the extra chips? which correct if i'm wrong chips when dining in are free? They also charged us for 2 refills on the sweet tea when we only got one? which WE DIDNT ask for which in the end was $6 worth of tea? (i could buy a gallon of tea for that price)! i would seriously never recommend this place. Not only again, was the food disgusting but for that price i would just go to a 5 restaurant!!!? We got way too many great mexican restaurants for them to be charging that much for mediocre...

The monster margaritas. You need these. Also, the street tacos come with these amazing grilled veggies on the side, some places give you pickled ones but these guys give you cooling cucumber and fire roasted veggies on the side, very authentic side piece to a great taco! My favorite part is the avocado slice in the tacos!

Update: you guys.... Get the torta. It's huge. Torta cubana. Get the ham and pork... This torta covers the entire plate and it is only 10.50 you guys don't sleep on the torta and the sexy bartender he will remember you by your drink. Y'all I think this might be the best torta I've ever had and I feel bad saying that because Athens al has great tortas(sabor Latino taqueria-you must try the posole cause you'll get it no where else) but for 10 bucks and this huge sandwich... Y'all don't sleep...
