After one night in the hotel (room 122) we were forced to leave due to the conditions that we found. ||First, as we entered the room we immediately noticed a horrible, almost rotten smell. I do not know the source of the smell, nor were we inclined to investigate, but even after running the fan to circulate the air inside it did not ever go away. It was nauseating and unbearable. ||Second, the walls of the room were paper thin and while I understand that having a room with an outside entry will be noisier due to parking lot and guest traffic, we were not expecting to hear the other guests in the adjoining rooms urinating in their toilets. Also, it seems that the toilet in our room had a leak because every 30 minutes to and hour the tank would fill so loudly it would wake us up each and every time. ||Third, the TV did not work. The remote wouldn't turn the TV on nor would the actual button on the TV itself. ||Fourth, the room was filthy. I made the mistake of walking in my bare feet across the floor and the bottoms of my feet were covered in dust and hair and other unidentified particles. The duvet cover on the bed was disgusting. It looked as though it had never been washed and had hair and lint stuck to it. I also question whether or not the sheets had been washed in any recent history. There were long hairs on the sheets (not mine) and the sheets stunk of armpit or body odor. ||The next morning I went to the front desk and told the clerk that we were not happy staying there and we wanted to check out. At no time did he ever ask if there was a problem or if he could put us in another room. To me that just acknowledges that he knows his place is junk. ||I booked through 3rd party who contacted the hotel to try to get us a refund but of course they refused....
Read moreChecked into this hotel before I could even get me and my family in the room I was told by housekeeping that I needed to leave because the previous room I stayed in was dirty I immediately went to the front desk to show the video that I took during check out on that room it was spotless she told me she would talk to them and not to worry about it the next day I went to extend my stay and was told I had to leave again by housekeeping and then was told I could stay one more day but after that I would have to leave and he would tell his manager that I can stay anymore I asked why he lied and said the room was booked then said housekeeping said I couldn’t stay but no one could tell me why other then the made up lies the next morning the manger told me it was best if I left because housekeeping was giving me a hard time and they said my room and covers had a funny smell but they hadn’t been in my room to know that so I left and I had her come to the room and check it and she didn’t smell anything and gave me my deposit back just like the first time I stayed and they said the room was dirty I also took a video of the clean room and her saying she didn’t smell anything all I can think of is discrimination and retaliation because they didn’t know anything about me to tell me I could stay and because I contact choice which by the way no one did anything and I have...
Read moreMarch 2025, I reserved a room for my daughter and I for the week. Everything was confirmed. When we arrived there was an issue. They wanted to charge more. I called Priceline and they tried to get more information. The response was some policy that they had to charge extra. They refused to give me a room unless I pay more. Priceline has agree to refund the money since the hotel refused to service me. My daughter and I ended up spending the night in the car. Priceline was able to set us up in 3 different hotels for the week and refunded the money. Now late April I was charged again by the Hotel due to non-refundable policy. I told them it does not apply if your hotel refused to service the customer. Worse experience to have. Especially when your daughter is 10 years old.
5/19/25 UPDATE: First I want to apologize to Econo Lodge. Thank you for your response. It was shown to my bank and we realize that it was not your fault what happened to my daughter and I. Priceline stated that it was Econo lodge that was responsible. Your statement proves that it was Priceline who failed to provide the service it was paid to do and is responsible for what...
