Beer lovers, rejoice! Beer Hog in Madison is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates a good brew. This place is a hop-head's paradise with an impressive selection that'll make your taste buds dance.

First off, let's talk about their beer selection. It's absolutely phenomenal! Whether you're into IPAs, stouts, sours, or lagers, Beer Hog has got you covered. They offer a rotating tap list that keeps things exciting, featuring both local craft beers and unique finds from around the world. I'm always discovering new favorites here.

But it's not just about the beer – the environment is spot-on too. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, striking that perfect balance between a cozy neighborhood pub and a modern taproom. The decor is tasteful, with subtle nods to beer culture that beer enthusiasts will appreciate.

The staff really know their stuff. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations based on your preferences. Don't be shy about asking questions – they seem to genuinely enjoy sharing their beer wisdom.

While I usually come for the brews, they also offer a solid food menu that pairs well with their beer selection. The outdoor seating area is a great spot to enjoy a cold one on a nice day.

Whether you're a serious beer connoisseur or just someone who enjoys a good pint, Beer Hog is the place to be in Madison. It's become my go-to spot for unwinding after work or catching up with friends. Cheers to Beer Hog for creating such a fantastic...

Really excited this has opened in Madison! Loved the take on being the old library with the bar top covered in book covers.

Lots of beers on tap with several regional but also some I haven't seen on tap elsewhere in the area. Color coded menu made it easy to find a beer that fit the style you wanted (e.g. IPAs bright green colored signage Pilseners blue colored signage). Flights were available with boards to pick up as you walk up to the bar from the front entrance.

HUGE space with lots of different seating options. We chose a table next to the arcade so the kids could play and we could watch. Arcade is in a room with doors so made it easy to keep track. Purchased a card from an easy to use vending style machine. Other seating areas included couches, low tops, and outdoor areas. Also multiple pool tables available in the back and a couple cornhole games set up to the side.

Food was mostly apps and pizzas. We had a sampling of them all, and they came out from the kitchen quickly. Service brought to the table based off a number which we received when ordering at the bar.

All in all super excited we have a family friendly option to have a brew, watch the game, and the kids are...

Pros: Fantastic and varied selection of beers. Bar staff was super friendly and quick. Reasonable prices and family friendly . Good place for a game of pool with the nice set up. Noise level has been thought out with reducers used in design. Cons : cleanliness. Did not see one table cleaned the entire 1 1/2 hours we were there . Often food debris was picked up but at 8pm on a Tuesday night there was not one wiped down table on the left facing the bar to sit at. Food: chuck E Cheese quality and very slow delivery. I would come here any day to have a beer and plan to support this place but nothing would lure me there for the food. Pizza toppings were fresh and sauce was okay but a medium crust( not thin) reminds me of the places I took my kids when they...

If you’re looking for the perfect spot to enjoy great food, quality craft beer, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, look no further than The Beer Hog in Madison. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by friendly staff and a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The menu offers a variety of appetizers and pizzas. The beer selection is top-notch, with a great mix of brews and classic favorites, making it a great place for both beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. What truly sets this place apart is its family-friendly approach. Despite being a beer-focused establishment, they’ve created an environment where parents can relax and enjoy while kids stay entertained.

5/25 Update: Went back and had a good time. This place is good for any size group. This place is really great for large groups of friends. There is plenty of space for everyone to hang out. They had free live comedy that I wish was advertised better because there wasn't many people there. I enjoyed it though. I'm so glad to have a place like this in Madison! Huge beer selection. Great pizza. (It was a lot bigger than I thought!) Prices for food and beer were prices well. (Normal for around here) Service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed the atmosphere. So cool to see what they did with the old library. Can't wait to come again!
