Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar Location: 8368 Highway 72 W, Madison, AL Date of Visit: September 13, 2024 5:53 pm I recently dined at Walk-On's in Madison, Alabama, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by our server, Kabrea, and the young man Dez, who ensured everything was running smoothly and kept our dining experience flawless. From the moment we arrived, Kabrea greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she took the time to recommend dishes based on our preferences. Her friendly demeanor set the tone for a fantastic evening. Dez was equally impressive, seamlessly managing the flow of service. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed.
Now, let's talk about the food! I ordered the 10 jumbo shrimp, and they were absolutely divine. Each shrimp was cooked to perfection -juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. They were a true highlight of the meal. The hush puppies were another standout; they were incredibly delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right hint of sweetness. I could have eaten a whole basket of those! Overall, my visit to Walk-On's was exceptional, thanks to the fantastic service from Kabrea and Dez, as well as the delicious food. If you're in the Madison area, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal. You won't be disappointed! I can't wait to return and try more of their menu offerings. Thank you, Kabrea and Dez, for making our...
Read moreWe are absolutely thrilled to share our heartfelt gratitude to Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in Huntsville for their incredible support of the North Alabama War Dawgs Free Basketball Camp for kids! From the first moment to the last, the management and kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure our organization and the kids had an unforgettable experience. 💯
On short notice, they prepared and delivered over 100 cheeseburger sliders, a mountain of crispy fries, and 200 beignet bites, all cooked to perfection! 🍔🍟🍩 The food was absolutely delicious and received rave reviews from every single child and adult in attendance. The attention to detail was phenomenal, and the smiles on the faces of the kids said it all. 😁
Chef Pat Robinson, Manager Cody, and the Walk-On’s team embraced this event with unmatched enthusiasm and warmth, truly making it feel like a family gathering. Pat connected with the kids and coaches, creating a moment of joy and appreciation that we will always cherish. 🙌
The atmosphere they brought to the camp was electric, and the Walk-On’s team worked seamlessly to accommodate everyone’s needs. Read morePlease read this review and don’t base your decision off the stars I left. The 3 of us came in for dinner and were able to quickly get in at the bar which is first come first serve. We were approached very quickly and handed menus we order drinks and was very quick. Over all the timeliness was amazing. Concerns (which can all be adjusted with training) one of the bartenders had to get a patron to show her how to open a bottle of wine. I do like the outfits of everyone expect the same bartender had a skirt on that was a little to short when she stood there you could see her butt checks and when she bent over you could see her underwear which is fine if your trying to be a strip club not a family establishment (did not want to post a picture out of respect for her) Some food was amazing highly recommend the mozzarella sticks, and hush puppies, the fried shrimp platter was amazing as well, as far as the boom boom shrimp needs some work big time. We did drop some hints about the boom boom shrimp to the bartenders and they did not address it which I can understand the manager did approach and said so the boom boom shrimp is a no go and we expressed our concerns he was very tentative respectful and understanding and ensured he would check with the prep to ensure they are putting out the correct product. Overall I will be back to try it again, team needs training, management need to decide what type of establishment and vibe they want to be ( I know hiring is hard and our world will never be the same) food is 50/50 I will be trying different menu items...
