I really wanted to like this place...
Pros: The quality of the meats, cheeses, and wine are good. The sandwich we tried was creative and delicious. Food came out promptly. The girl who welcomed us in was very sweet and attentive to our questions. The seating is comfortable.
Cons: My group felt management rudely told us they were closed. Closing time is not obvious. I did not see a sign with their hours listed inside or outside of the building. There was no change in lighting or music, and there was another large group in there that had recently came in before closing. We declined to go containers when asked because we were still eating and was promptly told, "Yeah, well we are closed.". We felt bad and assumed they had been closed for a while by the way we were addressed, but when we checked the website for their hours, it was only 5 minutes passed closing. I took the rest of the food home and found a hair in the bruschetta that is definitely not mine nor a member of the group I was with. Also, the apps we had were bland in flavor. Maybe I came on a bad day, but the experience is enough for me and my group members to decide not to be...
Read moreHave been coming here for about three years now, one of the best hidden gems of Park Ridge! The quality of the food is outstanding and the portions are more than generous. Great for a carry out or dine in experience, they have created a tuna sandwich here (hot or cold) that has turned a typical tuna naysayer into a believer! The charcuterie boards themselves are also always a huge hit when I bring them to parties, Dan is really firing on all cylinders! The menu is extremely well thought out, and every item on it is a hit, you can’t go wrong with any decision. Great wine selection is a plus too! If you like supporting small business, check out Dan’s, you won’t be...
Read moreLoud, limited seating. 15.00 for a sandwich no sides or a bag of chips. Just a sandwich. The muffuletta sandwich was good. I tried some of the brie grilled cheese with prosciutto from friends plate, it was inedible. Way to much fig jam. I like fig jam but in this sandwich it grossed me out because everything seemed too slimey between the toast. My friend didn't like it either. It may seem good by menu description but in reality it sucked. If I went back I'd never order the brie grilled cheese after trying it once. Friends sandwich was almost untouched when staff picked up plate and was told it was inedible but no offer of a complimentary drink or anything to...
