Los Azares Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Maine Township

So, my wife had a hankering for a burritos and tacos and I found Los Azares. Just moved into Park Ridge and haven't been able to find an all around decent Mexican restaurant. Well, Google Maps didn't disappoint.

I got the three taco dinner with asada tacos and pastor. Juicy and flavorful! The salsa was picante and made me sweat a bit, but oh so flavorful. My wife got the asada burrito and it was on point!

As far as the service, amazing! Google Maps said that they closed at 10 and I got there at 9. They had just switched to winter hours. I opened the door and it was locked. I called from the parking lot and an incredibly kind man named Jugo answered. He happily took my order and let me in. While waiting, I forgot that my wife loves grilled chiles and I sheepishly asked if I could get an order and he happily obliged. I went to swipe the credit card and he said no problem and that it was on the house:-)

I used to come here very often but after I was on vacation for a couple weeks I came back to the prices being raised a ridiculous amount. $8-9 per meal price increase. That’s about an 80% increase on food prices in matter of a couple weeks. EIGHTY PERCENT, that's insane!!! My meal went from being $10.50 to $18.65. I understand a couple bucks increase but $8-9 per meal is ridiculous. Our meal costs will be raised over $30 for the same amount of food. I've been coming to this location since they first opened in 2024 and was always very happy but I will not be supporting 80 percent increases on prices. They've been open a little over a year and it's crazy to increase their prices almost double in the matter of a couple weeks. I am so picky with Mexican food especially cuz we live in the best food city in the world (Chicago) finally decided to try a local Mexican restaurant in Des Plaines. The food was so good and clean. Steak burrito was great quality , steak was flavorful and no fatty pieces. Flautas dinner was delicious and filling (they gave me 4 pieces!) also overall very nice presentation. The gentleman at the counter was very polite and helpful, customer service is just as important as the quality of the food! Place looked so clean walking in!
