Absolutely disgusted with the customer service at this place and I wish I could give it a 0/5. My husband and I were staying at the adjacent hotel Hilton Homewood Suites . It was about 11pm and we were coming back from an eve out and decided we were a little hungry so stopped for a late night snack. The Bar was not busy at all when we walked in and sat down. The woman at the Bar took our order for a cheeseburger and fries. In the next half hour as we sat talking and waiting for our food four other sets of people had come and sat at the Bar. We noticed after half an hour someone was eating a Steak and a couple of the women sitting there had food. Also. We asked the Bartender why these people who had come after us had their food. She offered NO apology for the delay, went behind the kitchen area and still no explanation except that she put the order in. No eye contact with us. No how can I make this right for you . We decided to leave having had no food for 40 minutes while others were eating. We asked to speak to a Manager. “Go ahead” she said. He came out and we asked him why after 40 minutes no food and everyone else at the Bar had? A lame explanation he offered a cheeseburger takes 10 minutes to cook. We waited over 40 minutes!! I told him we would be writing a review and a call to Corporate about our experience. His belligerent reply was “go ahead”. Again with the Customer Service, not once did he say how can we make this right for you. I really hope someone from Corporate reads this. I will never go back to an Applebees again and nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. Applebees fix your customer service. Your logo is good food good people? The most incompetent rudest people we have come across. You lost good customers the logo should be “no food, no good people here’ . Couple that with one woman who looked like an employee walking around eating a chicken wing or something. And this is the local neighborhood restaurant. I beg to differ. The restaurants by the beach where I live have better service than this chain.

Read moreThe first impression is a lasting impression. At 3:57 today 06.16.23 we walked into this establishment for the 11am - 4pm half off appetizer deal at the bar. Approached the bar and the bartender did everything in her power to avoid us and made no eye contact. As we waved our hand to get her attention and began saying we’re sitting for the happy hour rate, she immediately cut us off by saying “it’s 5 minutes past 4.” So we replied it’s 3:57. She then said “well, after 3:55 the system won’t let me input the happy hour rate.” Now mind you there is still no eye contact, she’s moving around wiping the bar down, walking from one side of the bar to the other. So we asked her for corporate’s number. After 5 minutes of standing there waiting while she turned her back on us not getting corporate’s number…we just said “you know what, just give us your name.” She replied “You don’t need that.” and walked away. A patron at the bar overheard her and said “wooowww”. We sat down at a regular booth, ordered and enjoyed our meal, was served by a wonderful waitress by the name of Cheryl. We asked Cheryl what the bartender’s name was. It is NELLY/NELLIE. Nellie could of easily explained to us how their restaurant runs their deals in a better manner than she did. She portrayed ZERO customer service skills whatsoever. After we finished our meal we asked for the Manager. Paul came over and was very genuine and apologized for NELLY/NELLIE’s behavior and said that he would talk to her. Even after all of this Paul gave us half off the appetizers but which was very nice of him but we didn’t ask or expect him to do that. We just wanted him to know what happened, no discount required. NELLY/NELLIE will not stop us from coming back because their food is great but if she is bartending while you’re visiting, don’t approach her close to the happy hour deal ending time because she doesn’t have the verbal skills to speak to you like a human being. ...
Read moreI have been to this Applebee's a few times and it's always great. I went tonight and it was a bit more packed, so we had to get seated instead of sitting at the bar. The only reason the service has 4 stars is because of the bartender tonight.
My boyfriend and I were seated after a LONG day at work and no lunch. We waited knowing they are usually short staffed, but this time it took probably 20-30 minutes of us waiting without anyone even greeting us. We were passed by a number of times by the 2 servers. We had to get a servers attention and it was clear none of them knew who was supposed to wait our table. 2 servers went back and forth saying they had no idea who had what table, but at no point did they establish who was supposed to at least greet us.
My boyfriend and I are very patient and understanding and would never be rude to any staff memeber but when the server offered us water while we wait some more, I was visibly frustrated. (There were only 2 servers working but there were definitely more staff members working than usual) I told her we were ready to order, but it seems it was still unknown who was working our area. But then the bartender, JACK W (on our receipt, stepped up and said he would take care of us. I like this Applebee's and this is the only one we go to but tonight he was the saving grace and had every single seat occupied at the bar. He service was flawless the moment he stepped in. When it came time to pay, my boyfriend said because he stepped up, he would tip more than his usual 20%. I don't usually update a rating or post, but I wanted to make sure that this JACK W and his management knows what a difference it made in our day. And when someone improves your day, they deserve to have it acknowledged and people don't do...
