Updated 04/11/2024 - Yum. Came in for dinner. Sarah was a great server, helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. We both had Caesar Salads which were delicious with seasoned Bread Crumbs instead of Croutons. I had extra anchovies added and they were wonderful. My friend had the Flatiron Steak Frites and I had the Texas Redfish with Black Lentils. The Redfish was sauteed until crispy and cooked to perfection. My friend had the Key Lime Pie which was very good and I had a Meyers Lemon Pudding. Yum. We were very impressed and very satisfied. P.S. Got a meh response from management. 5/21/2023 - Came in for lunch. Sat in a booth in the bar. Had a Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp added. The Romaine was really rusty on the ends, the dressing was good. The Shrimp were flavorful but not they seemed under-cooked a touch and were only so-so. My friend loved his Quiche and Grilled Escarole Salad. Our Server, Cat, was about a two at best. She seemed like she didn't like being a server or working a Sunday lunch. ----------------- Yum. Came in with a friend for lunch the other day. Sat in a booth by the bar. My friend had a Lunch Box with the Calamari Lettuce Wrap and Grilled Romaine and French Fries. That came with Coffee and Soft Serve Orange Sherbet with Vanilla. He loved everything. I ordered the Kale Salad with Grilled Shrimp with a side of Sauteed Broccolini. Everything was fresh, well-cooked and delicious. Our service was spectacular with Aaron. He was attentive but not overly so, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Service with a nice smile and attitude. I will ask for him next time I'm in. And I will be back. Sorry no pix.

Came for magical dining and the Wahoo (fish) with rice grits, collard greens in tomato stew were surprisingly great. Collards greens are not my favorite but what I learned tonight is that the way the greens are traditionally prepared is what I don't care for. Luke's Kitchen prepared the greens lightly cooked still having some texture to the leaf, I loved it this way. The FL rice grits were different almost like a pureed mashed potato texture, it was creamy not thick like the name grits would make you think. This was my first time eating the fish Wahoo, it is a meaty white fish but without a fishy smell. The fire roasted tomato stew gave a great contrast to the fish that I didn't expect to work so well together. My appetizer was a kale salad with feta, pecans and plumcot (a mix between a plum and an apricot) it was delicious and the leaves were fresh. The carrot cake left much to desire in the desert category. The publix carrot cake is much better, but the maxhamilk cream and the ginger cream helped the make up for the just so so cake. The crumble on top gave great texture to help add a different element in your mouth. The restaurant's asthetics were appealing to the eye. The restroom was decently clean. Our waiter was great, he gave honest opinions of the dishes we asked about, and he was spot on about the Wahoo dish. The wait time was great for a Saturday night and our waiter did not seem stretched thin. They have a large outdoor seating area as well as the bar. Overall dinner taste great and the ambiance was welcoming, a little noisy but expected for the design of the restaurant.

My experience at Luke's had my husband and I planning our next visit before we even got our check. Their service was impeccable. I made reservations and we were immediately seated upon arriving. We were seated right next to the kitchen. Normally this would have put us off, but what a treat it turned out to be. The delicious smells and curious sounds surely enduced excitement and us eager to browse the menu. Our wonderful server came to attend us within seconds of being seated. He was absolutely wonderful and added to our great experience. Once we ordered, it was shocking how quickly we were served the 4 starters. After finishing up, our main dishes took less than 10 minutes to come out. Service was truly to be praised, especially as it seemed pretty busy. THE FOOD!!!!!!! Wow you guys, JUST WOW. I could spend days talking about how memorably delicious everything was. Nothing went unnoticed on our plates and each and every dish made us pause. It was impossible not to inhale it all. We wanted so badly to slow down and savor it, but it was just so mouth watering, finger licking good. Luke's is one of those places you want to order everything on the menu. We can't say anything negative about any part of our experience. Even the decor and atmosphere was satisfying. WE CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK! Ordered: Deviled eggs Octopus al pastor Beef carpaccio Chicken wings Pork steak Brisket steak Chocolate cheescake Key lime semifredo

The atmosphere and open kitchen concept of this new Maitland restaurant is nice, and has a similar feel to BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, but for the price, the food misses the mark. The truffle chips were delicious and not overly pungent, greasy, or salty, but the rest of the meal was underwhelming. The Caesar salad was good but nothing to write home about. The shoestring fries were way too salty, and although there were a few fresh sprigs of rosemary mixed in with the fries, they didn't add any flavor to the dish. Maybe grinding the salt with rosemary beforehand, or finely chopping and sprinkling the rosemary would have been a better use. The french dip, described as a slow roasted, peppercorn crusted prime rib, sounded amazing, but didn't quite live up to the hype. Although the beef was mostly tender, it suffered a little from a couple of gristly bites and a lackluster au jus. Hillstone restaurant, just a little farther south on 17-92, has a slightly more expensive french dip ($20 compared to $17), but for the extra $3 it's well worth it. Overall, for the quality, staff, price, and atmosphere this restaurant lands in the middle of the pack. It is a new place, so I'd be more than willing to come back in a few months to see how the restaurant is progressing. I'll definitely be ordering the truffle chips again.

I'm new to the area and a couple of coworkers recommended this place and it was quite below my expectations. Note that the restaurant's menu changes frequently and I wish I know about it. 1. Atmosphere: hip, young, groovy 2. Two small dishes(they call it Coastal, aka, appetizer) $15 and $ 16 each. - Blackened fish collar: we ordered as an appetizer and it turnout that this dish is full of bones and you literally need to take a surgical action. The fish was also undercooked. We barely ate any meat out of eat and it was messy. - Gulf shrimp: 6 medium sized shrimps in citrus sauce. It was mediocre. This comes with toasts, which were charcoal burnt and we requested to replace it. They charge $1 for that replacement. It was such a petty and doushe movement. I didn't even bother challenge on this one dollar. 3. Main - Redfish: this was good. The fish and the yellow sauce was great. The side grains and vegetables sautéed in some sour sauce was actually quite awful. - Roasted chicken: chicken was very well marinated and soft. But the sautéed green leaves bed was so chewy. And kale stalks? I can hardly chew these greens. 4. Service - ok Overall, it was so disappointing with food but at least took the recommendation and tried.

My husband & I spontaneously decided to head to Luke’s last Friday and check out the bar. We got lucky with the last 2 seats around 7:30pm, and had a lovely time. The bartender made me a special drink after asking what she’d suggest, and it was phenomenal! I’m not sure what it was called, but I asked for something citrusy and with either gin or vodka, and she showed an orange gin and made something with that. We also weren’t super hungry so we just ordered some appetizers to share. The deviled eggs, the calamari, and the rock shrimp, in order of favorites for me. The deviled eggs had a slight kick to them, and with the crunch added too they were so yummy! I also really enjoyed the calamari and the sauce they brought out with it, unlike the usual I see with calamari. The bartender recommended bread with the rock shrimp for the sauce, and it was a great addition. The bread was slightly too charred on the bottom for my liking, but I ate around it. My only gripe would be the parking lot is so dark since the parking is mostly in the back. However, we love this place, and will definitely be back!
